Our dog had a seizure on a Friday afternoon. From the lovely receptionist that took the call, to the amazing vet Sue.. they saw us straight away, were so caring and put us at ease at each step. Amazing.

I have been here three times with my cat. Each time I have been really impressed by the no-nonsense, clear advice I have received and the seemingly genuine care for the animals. Dr. Sue has taken care of my cat on each occasion and has been direct, reassuring and really clear in terms of what is required and what I need to do. That is exactly what you want when you are concerned for your furry person. I see them fussing over other folks pets with the same care while I am there. On each occasion the small furry man has responded well to treatment and been happy as Larry within a day or two. There is good follow up from the surgery and lots of more general advice is given during the consultation. Prices are reasonable (maybe they are really good? They don't seem high to me for that level of care anyhow) and are very good when you consider that your are buying a highly informed opinion about issues that are not always straightforward. And pet medicines are not on the PBL, so you have to expect them to cost a bit. Hell, this place is much better value than most professionals you will deal with.I would not hesitate to recommend this Vet clinic to anyone. If you are in the area and you are concerned about your animal then don't hesitate to try this surgery. This is what taking your pet to the VET should be like.

Kind, compassionate, and they go above and beyond. They always treated my little girl with love and tenderness and when they found out she'd passed, sent me flower and a lovely note. Forever grateful for their kindness and thoughtfulness. Highly recommend.

I've lived in the new farm area for 7+ years, wouldn't take my pet anywhere else! Dr. Kim and Dr Sue Robertson have always looked after my cat as if he was their own. The staff and the Vets have a genuine passion & enthusiasm for what they do and it really shines through in their kind approach. They have always been there for us over the years, for phone advise, day stays/long stays & emergencies. My cat loves going on holiday at their sister branch at Nundah and always comes back happy! Nothings ever been too much trouble with their kind staff always very accommodating and kind to both me and my cat. Both Kim and Sue have offered knowledgeable advise that has helped us throughout the years in managing various conditions. They truly love animals and until coming to this vet id only seen vets be very clinical with my pets... I've actually seen Dr Kim, pick up my cat and give him a big cuddles. Its nice to know he is in good hands, relaxed and in a happy environment. Sounds cheesy but you can tell that he genuinely loves animals and I wouldn't want anyone else taking care of my cat until they had that same real passion, dedication and professional knowledge. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this practise.

First impression phone call. Receptionist with a bad attitude simply requesting her to repeat her name. Taking my $$$ elsewhere. Get her off the phones! From one practice manager to another! Byeeeeee

Very disappointed in the experience my friends had at this clinic as someone who works in a vet clinic (Lort Smith in Melbourne) where they used to go with their cat. The consultation lasted all of 5 minutes where the cat was told he was overweight (he is within healthy range) and that he had to have all his teeth removed ??? Why without any imaging would you encourage an owner to remove most of a 6 year old cats teeth?? The owner left very distraught and thankfully got a second opinion who are going to firstly TAKE some images and proceed from there in terms of removing plaque and then assessing if there is gingivitis/some sort of infection then move slowly to make sure everyone is on the same page medically and financially. It was disappointing to also hear the owner wrote an email about how distressing the whole experience was and there was zero response? Surely the least you could do was apologise for the poor bedside manor?I hope in future maybe there could be a little more time taken to review an animal and then CORRECTLY give them some idea as to how to proceed I mean they should get their money back for how brash you were.

Sadly will be looking for a different vet that’s more familiar with our dogs breed. We had a new client general check up and vaccination appointment, and requested nail clipping and a quote for dental. The week after we took him to a different vet who was $1000 cheaper and didn’t have to put him under, and actually said to us that he needed his nails clipped so did them properly for us (despite Central New Farm saying they were ‘done’ and the back legs didn’t need clipping) and even pointed out a shoulder injury from racing that was not observed in the initial appointment with Central New Farm.

New Farm Vet looked after our cat for several years while we lived in the area and we loved the personal care and experience at this vet. The entire team are very friendly and the advice or treatment we received was always in the best interests for our cat. We had a variety of regular checkups, vaccinations, teeth removal, grooming, even just a quick call to ask for advice was no trouble. They are reasonably priced and never made us feel like we needed to visit more often or the classic guilt trip into getting things checked ‘just in case’ like some other vets do to raise revenue. This vet surgery is fantastic, honest and caring. Thank you for looking after Merlin ❤️
