Long review ahead:Pros-1. The location is good. Located 300ms from kings cross station which is then connected to other stations2. The staff is really friendly. They emailed me all the details for check-in before I had even arrived.3. They have a big backyard which is good for hanging out and relaxing. It's open and given that it's almost impossible to find nature spaces in th city hostels, I would say it was a big positive.Cons-1. The rooms don't have AC or a ceiling fan. There were nights when I would sweat and not sleep. I should mention that there are stand fans, and my bed was closer to them, but there are beds where you have nothing - so if you're someone who doesn't care about the temp then it's a good place.2. The kitchen is small for the number of people. If you go at lunch or dinner times, you can have struggles to find a place to cook. They don't have breakfast either (however, I didn't expect it since they already listed it on the website).3. Rooms are smaller for the number of people living, and there is extremely limited space for charging too. They have given extension cords, but it's really inconvenient to not have the plugs near the bed.4. They don't have a quiet area. As a person who works on the go, it was really a big negative for me because almost all the places were occupied by people who wanted to relax. Nothing bad there, but there should be a space where people can work. So many students and working professionals are in need of that.

Beforehand communication was good, location is excellent, kitchen was clean but a little small. The dorm was too small for 12 people, the floorboard under the carpet where annoyingly loud and lockers made of metal are also noisy. There are very less sockets in the dorm for the amount of people and unfortunately there are no bedside lamps so people need to use the big light also when someone sleeps already. The outside window was pretty small which caused stuffy air while sleeping (objective opinion).

Felt like being at my grand parents house. Scrabble and chessboard. Not so much of a backpacker vibe. Cleaning of the bathroom could be better…Bedding are good if you just want a calm and quiet place to sleep it is good.

A place you could very well call home if looking for a medium-to-long stay period (even the curious short-termers may find it so interesting to decide to stay longer!), people and staff here are genuinely helpful; particularly recommend to anyone wanting to experience the vibe of a true community!

I liked the vibe of this hostel. I was told this hostel was newly opened but it felt very homey and cosy. The workers were friendly and helpful; they made me feel very welcomed, they made sure I was comfortable, and settled. I highly recommend this hostel as you would need a nice, safe, clean, friendly and helpful environment when you are just starting here in Sydney. 5 stars!! 10 even if I can!

If you're looking for a quit and relax place, this is your place!I speend one week in podbed, I booked a 6 female room and it was amazing, is you're in a WHV or student this place is great. Everyone was so respectful, you can meet all kind of people from many places. They have rules for the schedule and cleaning and that´s great so you can rest at night. The dinamic is really good and the staff is so cool.The only thing is that the bathrooms weren't clean at all. Anyway, I had such a great time at PodBed

Love this hostel. Great location and more important, best staff ever. They are really nice and try to keep this easy and fun.I have to thank Mauro for all the helpful advices and for keep the hostel with a good vibe.
