Assume it's usually packed but with Covid we were the only ones there in July school holidays. Felt a little eary but spectacular. Loved it, kids loved it. Water seemed too stagnant to swim.

The track from highway in to visitor centre took us 75 minutes each way. It was fine then once in the drive to the main walk tracks are on wide maintained tracks no problems. The cathedral is a must see and it’s an easy walk on flat ground with part shade.

The moderate 4-kilometre return Cathedral Gorge walk trail is located in Cathedral Gorge, an astonishing geological formation with amazing acoustics, located within the ranges of Purnululu National Park or the Bungle Bungle Ranges. The Top Trail features unusual bee-hive striped formations and deep gorges, making it one-of-the most fascinating geological landmarks and one-of-two World-Heritage sites in Western Australia.

Located in Purnululu Nat. Park (Bungle Bungles WA) Cathedral Gorge is a stunning natural amphitheatre. Walk in surrounded by the renowned bee-hive domes before arriving at Cathederal Gorge, Cross to the far side and sing loudly if you can. You may never sound so good again

What an amazing natural wonder... Put this on your bucket list as a must must must do. Pretty easy walk in, wear sturdy shoes as loose rock and sand can be slippery.

The Bungle Bungles are an amazing site, walking through the winding (dry) creeks and rock formations that are up to 200m high is an experience you will never forget. Rain fell the day before we entered the Bumgles causing some of the smaller creeks to fill. We had to wade through waist deep water and hot temperatures to get to the gorge. As you approach the gorge and enter the enormous cavernous cave, you become speechless and just need to take it all in. You will need to appropriately plan your journey here. A 4wd, plenty of food, water, supplies and weather protection is necessary. Long drive there is worth it.

Now this is so worth the walk! This is such an amazing setting which is mystical and so unique. It is an easy walk in with one area which has a few steps and it is also a sandy walk in. This was our favourite area.“Jonique Life”Follow our journey around Australia on Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube as we highlight wonderful experiences and magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.
