I had a great experience here yesterday.Background - I had called Telstra to switch my data plan to a mobile plan, and waited over two hours to be dealt with, only for them to not actually lodge the job. I was told my new plan should start in a day or two. I waited over a week, and nothing happened.I was just wandering through the shopping centre in Wollongong when I came across this Telstra centre and decided I should try and speak to someone to check the progress on my new phone plan. The staff were very polite and knowledgeable, and were able to transfer my data plan to a mobile plan while keeping the same number and just changing the sim, all quickly and painlessly in store, which was something two other Telstra stores and the call centre couldn’t manage to do for me.Thank you very much for your service yesterday! I really appreciated how easy and painless my experience at Telstra Wollongong was. You have a very happy customer on your hands :D

Spent 2 hours trying to upgrade 2 phones on business account. Was told unable to upgrade 2 phones at once. Proceeded to upgrade just one phone only at the end to find out the phone I wanted wasn't in stock. Cancelled my upgrade only to find out at a later date when trying to upgrade at another store that they had allocated a new phone and new contract to my account after I asked them to cancel the request.Pathetic service in store. Trying to mimic the Apple store setup and it doesn't work.

Rude and unhelpful staff, no point going into the store as they will just make you call telstra anyway. Wasted 3 hours of my life today just to be told that this telstra store can't help me with my telstra account.

Changing over from an old phone to a new pixel is easy. Skye was efficient and handled the process well. Still costs the same although the phone has better specs and superb quality cameras. It’s also easy to access from street level.

Walked into Telstra Wollongong to get a SIM card and transfer info to new phone re 3.20pm Sat 7th Jan.I was taken aback by the young customer service fellow when he said very briefly, I'd have to come back another time ....Blindly following policy apparently.My goodness I'M ALREADY THERE !1. He had the time to ask could he assist me.2. No one was behind me and I feel I wasn't given a decent explanation for such a preposterous request.3. What nincompoop in Telstra suggested and approved such a stupid way of dealing with customers who have made the effort to travel into icky Wollongong CBD, no less.Long story short - the Manager eventually assisted me with a new SIM. Doing the transfer of info at a later date.Manager was experienced enough to realise and politely convey that this is the situation for them /staff.My ONE Star is 90% due to the cumbersome way of treating valuable customers, by the Telstra policy makers..... and Telstra have killed off growing Dapto rofl

Absolutely useless! I was In this store on Saturday the 9th of April 2022, and I needed a phone asap for business. They didn’t have any in stock. ( which I fine ) but the blonde tattooed lady made a search for a phone for me and sent me to Narellan 1 hour away as they “had the phone” she then sent me there to get it. Assuming she would follow up and organise it I went to Narellan. There was no phone. Luckily their manager sorted me out by calling customers to see if I could have someone else’s phone. Which they did. If this was not the case. The lady would have not only wasted 2+ hours of my life but the fuel and wear and tear to get there.This was absolutely unprofessional and will never deal with this store again even though it is the closest to me. I’ll be heading to Narellan as they know what customer service is. I’m

Never going with Telstra again, I got a new phone as a gift and all I needed to do was to activate my sim I had to wait almost 2 weeks so I was left with a phone with no sim and no internet. I went into Wollongong branch to discuss what has happened and they turned me away to come back in 45 minutes. The staff were not professional at all. Very unpleasant experience and hope no one goes through it.
