Tarago Recreation Area

Long drop toilets, fenced playground, near the servo, great little place to stop on a long trip.

Good, but clearly the council pays the same attention to the walking track as the road from Bungendore to Tarago. Serious trip hazards most the way around. Otherwise, great kids playground and a few open areas for cricket, dog park and exercise machines. Has a basketball court as well.

Great little rest stop to stretch big and little legs. Fun play equipment and clean toilets.

Beautiful Tarago as well as lovely hearts seen everywhere ! Travel by Tarago Toyota too!

The Recreation Area has an unlocked gate at the access point and a sign attached with a mobile phone number stated for you to ring and ask if it is ok (no events scheduled) to park your caravan/your rig in the Recreation Area for one or two nights. Unless events are organised, they will usually give permission but you must ring as you never know when events are likely to be scheduled. There are public toilets near the BBQ & playground area which are always open and a great pub (The Loaded Dog) on opposite corner that also allows self-contained rigs to camp out the back but you must register inside pub first. Both are great places and we enjoyed our stays at both of them. No toilets in camping area at rear of pub and you must register first.

The only public toilet in the whole town. There is a playground and a basketball court.

Love it when a member of the community has to do the mowing. The bins were over flowing with rubbish.
