It really is true, the best fish & chips are found near the sea. I stumbled across Collaroy Fish & Chips across the road from Collaroy Beach by chance. It wasn’t till I had placed my order that I read the google reviews. These were encouraging & I definitely wasn’t let down once I was chewing my way through my order of standard fish & chips. Fresh fish, crispy batter & tasty chips. Even the lemon wedge was of high quality, juicy with a clean yellow skin. In my opinion I’ve discovered Sydney’s best fish & chips shop.Review update: Dropped by to confirm first visit review. All I can add is, Consistency!

UPDATE: 08/01/2020 - went again and ordered the same and it was amazing and consistent!The fish and chips are great value at $11. I have been to Brooklyn for fish and chips at Fitzies, Costi's at MLC, Palm Beach Fish and chips and also Doyle's Takeaway at Watson's Bay. However, I believe that the fish and chips at Collaroy are so good, especially adding chicken salt to the chips and being given generous servings. Simply mouth watering. Will be visiting again to see if the cooking quality is consistent.

One of the best fish and chips in Sydney. Good customer service. You won't regret to try their food. Keep up the good job! We ordered the family pack and couldn't finish it.

We ordered fish&chips. The fish was great, very tasty and crunchy. Chips were good (but the colour... yellow?). I didn't like the sauces.$13 for the meal, $1 for the tartare sauce.⛔️ We had to wait more than 45min on Sunday around 2pm.⛔️ I would reccomend to clean the whole place, because I get goose bums when think about how it looks. Smells old, burned oil.

Good price, decent portion size. Batter was very crispy; fish was flaky and juicy. Chips were nicely seasoned.Tartare sauce is extra.

3.5 Stars. Quintessential fish and chips shop. It feels a little 'hole in the wall' and the shopfront is in major need of a spruce up. Still the quality of the fish and chips was great and the value for money was pretty good.It's reliable but they really need to renovate.

A bit pricey, really good fish n chips in a collaroy area!Fish was very good quality and calamari was juicy and tender. Seafood sticks were also amazing!
