Ellendale Pool
It's been 45 years since I last went to ellendale pool. It has a lot more facilities for visitors now. It's still a magical place to me.

Lovely spot to relax and listen to sounds of nature. Especially beautiful after lots of rain when the water is flowing clear across the road. Plenty of birds and wildlife around, it’s a really nice spot to have a bbq/picnic or camp overnight.

Nice place to camp with tents, camper trailers. There were a few levelspots for caravans. There are toilets, bins and tables to sit at. No power and the only water is in the river. There are swim ropes, so people do swim there. Probally great for fishing as you can see them. Flies were a bit bad when we visited.

Such a beautiful spot. Stopped for a feed and had a look around. The granite wall as the backdrop of the water makes it look even more special. You can camp there ($10), toilets, sheltered tables and seats. Depending on who’s camping, will determine how much space there is. Few large caravans taking up allot of space.

Beautiful water hole and great camping facilities not far from town.Definitely worth the visit.

Lovely camp with great facilities including flushing toilets. There’s plenty of picnic tables and gas bbqs. The pool itself is beautiful but you need to be careful swimming in warmer months due to meningitis. The camp is currently free due donation box being continuously vandalised so it would seem they have stopped charging the $10 a night fee.

Such a stunning place. grounds are clean. The views are amazing. Kids were on their kayaks for hours. Just a heads up the water is very cold.

There few days after heavy rains in April. Lower camp sites still muddy but plenty of other locations to choose from. Amenities basic but clean and functional. One BBQ was out of order.Location is simply magical. Very peaceful. I loved the morning wake up bird chorus and the cold morning shower had a spectacular view! So invigorating and the perfect way to start a sunny camping morning!Unfortunately no time for a swim but will return for another try!
