Australia Post - Strawberry Hills Post Shop

People don’t always have their ID with them and they come all the way to the post shop and come back home only with frustration.Be flexible please! It’s stupid not to give customers their parcels even they have a hundred ways to prove them they are the one for the parcel.

Very bad experience with the manager. The owner or senior management team should think if she has the ability to solve the problem/ suitable for the role.I was coming to pick up the parcel at around 10:00am on 24/03, showed the blue colour card(driver left it in our work place) and driver’s license, as manager said the name and address on driver’s license was not match, I explained that’s my English name, I showed her text messages and emails that asked me to picked up the parcel on my phone, also showed her all emails that I placed order, it all shows parcel number, my English name and the address.The manager refused to give me the parcel and asked me to show identity with my English name, or show I live in receiver’s address, I explained that’s a work place, how can I show I live in the work place? also what other identity can I show rather than driver’s license? she said “I don’t know, I just need to see your identity with your English name, or show I live in my work place or work there”, I asked what documents she need to show I worked there, she didn’t answer and asked me to leave and said will call security if I don’t leave!!!I stood at the side, and found more documents on my phone, showing I’m Lisa and address, and I showed to another customer service (the manager left), she checked documents and gave the parcel to me and adviced that I should wrote the name same as showing on the identity next time. I like this representative as she is trying to help, and gave advices that make things more easy rather than more complicated.For the manager role, problem solving skills is important, make things easier, customer happy and customer know how to write next time makes things healthier for future, not only need to follow the rules, when things happen, will need to think and provide alternatives ways the help and solve the problem, rather than trying to kick them out without thinking, manager’s ability level should be higher than that.

This is the best post office! The staff are efficient and helpful, the centre has great early opening hours for parcel pick-ups, and there are postal lockers which are free and super convenient. It is surreal how good the experience here is (and bizarre how excited I am about it), but it’s true.

24*7 Good after hours facility with vending machine for Express Post satchels of all sizes and also the other Australia Post to services. open access 24 X 7 is good to see

I have been to this post shop many times since I keep missing packages. I have never tried to mail things, so I cannot comment on their full range of services, but I have nothing but good things to say about parcel collection. First of all, parcel collection is open until pretty late-6 pm, and around 5:30 pm the crowd levels are pretty low. I generally show up close to 5 pm and I feel like social distance protocols are very well maintained and the space is very open and clean. The staff are also super helpful—I went to collect a package that somehow did not get associated with my account and was not in their usual spots, more ready to be sent back area, and they dropped everything as a team to go and locate the package for me and found it. I hope I have a similar experience when I start using their mailing services as well!Also the location is beautiful, see pictures!

Disgusting customer service & privacy invasion, after hard day at work came to do 2 Amazon returns and the lady berated me on using a medium size box for a small item, going so far against my privacy to open the box and touch my belongings and trying to make me buy another box for the return.She also berated me for the 10 cm of tape she had to use and wanted me to buy tape.Obviously she is trying to make me buy stuff since I am not paying them anything for the return however Amazon is. I will never go to this post office again and a formal complaint will be filed for the privacy invasion and abhorrent service.

I came into Australia Post this morning to get a quote for parcels to be sent to New Zealand and USA.Marianne was excellent. She went out of her way to help me. She came out of the counter and walked with me to the shelves to select an envelope that fits the item I wanted to send to New Zealand.She then wrote the total charges for both parcels after weighing them for my reference.I thanked her for her helpfulness and her kind gesture. She very humbly appreciated it but said it’s her job to help. What an amazing lady.Kudos Marianne - YOU are an asset to the organisation and what an amazing customer service delivery altitude.

90% of the negative reviews are about the postman or couriers, not about this AP office itself.I've lived in the area for 2 years, and had many packages taken here for pickup.I've always found the staff helpful and efficient, they have a great parcel area and system in place so packages are normally located and handed over in short order.They're a busy office - usually between a half and two dozen people in line at any given time waiting to pick up packages, but they move through them at a decent rate so it isn't frustrating.And as far as it goes, it's a nice location to be going for a walk to pick up a parcel.

Very disappointed that it’s come to the point I need to give zero stars. SO many parcels with absolutely no attempt at delivery. My housemate works from home and so knows that the deliver driver in Waterloo does not EVER ring the bell but instead leaves a note to pick up. I am having to make 3-4 trips a week to the post office (which is never the same!! Sometimes Rosebery, Waterloo or Strawberry hills). An absolute joke of a service.
