HEAR and LEARN

Our school has utilised REDCAT speakers in our classrooms for a number of years due to our high proportion of hearing impaired students. We are working towards having a REDCAT speaker system in each classroom in our school.

I would like to thank you for your recent support in the purchase of Redcat Access Soundfields. We currently have the Soundfields in place in the majority of our infants classrooms and feedback so far has been amazing. The Redcats with teacher Flexmikes are VERY easy to use meaning that teachers are not intimidated by the technology, and having Sharemikes has meant that the students are invested in the use of the technology as well.Some of the feedback to date has included:“All of my class find it easier to hear instructions and have become more successful when attempting tasks as they do not need to seek clarification”“I have found the soundfield useful. The students are more engaged and seem to listen better. Hear and Learn have been assisting staff with educational adjustments and strategies to assist a student in our classroom who is hearing impaired. Dave at Hear and Learn has been a great support to our hearing charity. He graciously loaned us some portable units to use and promote for kids that have conductive hearing loss. He has looked after us for years and you can tell he truely believes in his product. We love using the red cats. They are portable and small enough to take from class to class. Dubbo District Deaf Club has bought red cats from Dave for years. We put them in classrooms to help kids with Conductive hearing loss. Hard to hear = hard to learn.
