I asked L the team to make me some heart “healthy” no-salt low fat sausages. First attempt were petty good. Kids and. I polished them off - even picky miss-8 asked for more!Peter was open to feedback and we’ll go another round and improve the recipe. Thanks for doing something unique and making sure a fella doesn’t have to miss out on a snag!

Great service. Great quality. Competitive prices. I just had the best, meatiest beef ribs I have ever had. This is a good little local butcher. Always good to support local and when they are this good it makes it so easy.

The quality of the meat is top notch. The service is always prompt, friendly and informative. Lose a star due to price, but you do always get a great quality product.

These guys do the best of everything. If you've messed up the rest of the recipe- the quality of the meat saves it. They always have interesting flavour sausages, helpful cooking tips and friendly service. Would recommend them over supermarket meat" every day of the week."

This is the best selection of meat accompanied with the most knowledgeable friendly service in this city. Old style butcher who tries hard to provide all those cuts that your mum loved to cook for you.

Many years ago I used beef eye fillet in my commercial kitchen and instead of going to restaurant, I bought eye fillet, 1kg, not cheap but cooked my own made steaks, rare, baked potato, and 3 vegies. No restaurant could beat this dinner for 5. The previous day I made Steak Tartare, finely chopped fillet and trimmings, fingerlicking good. 7 meals for about $80 worth of meat. Can't buy this in no supermarket!

I've been meaning to stop in here since becoming a temporary Queanbeyanite just over a week ago, if for no other reason than I remember with great fondness Peter's spots on ABC Canberra Breakfast with Ross Solly from back in the days before I set sail from my hometown across the tracks in the ACT in 2013, ne'er to return except as a visitor. What I got was what I expected: cheery, friendly service from an absolute gem of a man. I'm a huge fan of butcher shops in preference to the plastic trayathons of the supermarkets and hypermarchés.Butchers like Peter have knowledge, suggestions, a range of what I'm going to call 'curated meals' where 2/3rds of the prep is already done, so you can leave the taragon and lime pepper in the cupboard because it's prêt à manger (après a little light sautéing).P.S. just on the radio thing, I also disclosed to Peter my status as Bill from Queanbeyan, St Marys, Belmont, Baulkham Hills, Capalaba, Riverhills, Scarborough, etc on Chris Bath's ABC Evenings show! ;-)If you're over Quenbeyan way, zip down Cooma Street and get some good old-fashioned service at Lindbeck's. (Don't tell my vegan ex-wife! :-) ).BQ
