The Nambucca Motel

This hotel is quite well located in Nambucca head. Just by the water, it is quiet because it's not right in front of the road. Their highlight was actually the cleanliness of the room. The furniture and style seemed a little old, but the place was spotlessly clean. Besides that, their service was also great and they were super nice on the phone as we were driving past when we decided to make that stop. I would recommend you give it a try whether you are traveling through Nambucca or looking for a safe port in the area.

We stayed here mid January 2023. Admittedly I forgot to add 2x kids to booking. I rang up, paid an extra $60 and were sweet. We arrived at 11 pm (pre-arranged late arrival). I guess most people do not get there in the dark. There were cockroaches everywhere. On walls, on the bed, bathroom. I distracted the kids and got them into bed quick so they did not notice. Instead, there were complaints about the sheet being itch. We all managed to get to sleep, for an early rise. When we got up, we noticed we only had two towels. Despite upgrading to 4 people. When I checked out and advised of our issues, the receptionist was very blasé, basically saying too bad too sad. I was very disappointed. We will never stay here again. It is a shame because the location on the river is quite pretty.

Very old motel, my son got locked in the bathroom as the doors needed attention. Luckily, we got him out. Rooms are very dusty I had to push a bed over for something and could see old beer bottle lids etc and a thick film of dust behind the bed which would explain my need to my asthma inhaler, which I almost never need, was needed with minutes of arriving. Not to mention, cobwebs up in the corners of the ceiling.

Nice place. Older style place. Very clean. Quiet place. Pool look very inviting. Close to river, Good places that you can could fish from. Lovely peaceful place. Good price, Does have restaurant (Chinese food). Didn't eat there this time but have eaten their before which was very nice food then

Got a very warm welcome.The pool is absolutely beautiful.Room was very clean & comfortable.Our little dog was no trouble.Would definitely stay here again.

I had a truly awful, stressful experience. Wish I’d read the reviews first. Terrible uncaring service, run down smelly room. The men in the room next door were persistently knocking on our shared wall to get my attention and wolf whistling outside my door through the later evening, I felt incredibly unsafe as was alone with my little son. Around 11pm I texted my friend to ring reception (so the men wouldn’t hear my voice and start the knocking again). The owner told her “don’t worry about them” and hung up on her. She rang back twice more and was hung up on. So my friend rang the police for me and they came to stand guard so I could pack my car and leave. It was midnight but I didn’t care, I felt so unsafe and the motel owners duty of care was utterly absent. I rang the next day to ask for a refund and she bluntly told me it was a safe place and left the call. I will be putting in a claim to fair trading for a refund.

The most disgusting motel what I've seen in my life so far.I wouldn't even rate with 1 star! Old furnitures dirty walls,cobwebs, disgusting carpet . The whole room was stinky ,bathroom shower tap broken and the list could go on and on... their restaurant is the same ,old stinky and disgusting plus food is ridiculously overpriced and inedible!! Even my dog turned his head away when I tried to give him a bite. Do yourself a favour and don't go there!It's a real putrid place!

Beautiful property. A little out of town but right on the river. We even saw dolphins. The service was epic. Restaurant service was fantastic. Pet friendly and beautiful vibe. If we are ever in Nambucca again you’ll find us here.

Easy access from highway. Quiet at night. Older motel but clean and tidy. Good value. Food available on site. Friendly people. We will stay here again if passing this way again.
