Had great breakfasts of fresh juices, blts and coffees most mornings when we recently stayed at Evans Head. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were enjoyable and good value. Nice place to sit and enjoy the view too.

Great location overlooking the beach. Lunch was excelent (burger, chips, milkshake). Somehow, I feel dinner tonight will be a miss.Will definitely be returning next time I visit Evens Head.

Nice restaurant with nice views. Whilst the menu was limited there was some nice options. The barramundi in green curry was delicious and the lamb dish was a feast. A very large meal. The steak was very nicely cooked. Drinks where nicely priced with some nice beer and wine choices. This place is the pick of venues at Evans Head and is a must on your holiday.

Being located at the surf club, found it a little lacking. Website showed beautiful plates of seafood, reality gave me over cooked calamari in oil that needed to be replaced. However one of our group ordered the salad which she was impressed with. Taste was fresh and flavourful.

Outstanding menu, such a wonderful find. Everything was spot on, especially loved the local ingredients and quality of the produce. Shhhhhhhhh! Don’t tell anyone!

The Sandbar was such a beautiful venue for our wedding and we were over the moon with the whole night. Milou was amazing and ensured that the planning process was smooth for us and everything ran really well on the day. She made sure everything was perfect and all our guests were very impressed with her. Highly recommend the Sandbar and cannot speak more highly of their wonderful team! Thank you so much for a wonderful night!

We wanted to order the “big breakfast” which is on the menu, they told us they weren’t serving the “big breakfast” but we could order the “small breakfast”. Asked why since it’s the exact same ingredients in the big and small one, they told us it was because the big breakfast was longer to make since the quantity is a bit bigger, but we could order the small one with extras (to get the same quantity than the big one), which makes no sense since it won’t be any quicker this way but of course that will makes us pay much more for the exact same thing. So why leave the big breakfast on the menu if they don’t wanna serve it anymore even on a quiet day and offer to people to order the exact same by adding extras ? Must say the terrace was half empty when we ordered and there was no rush, but the food still took about one hour to be ready.Workers were not the most friendly and welcoming, and looked all pretty grumpy.Food was good though.

Best view in town to watch the sun go down or the moon to rise. The calamari was sensational, cooked to perfection accompanied by homemade aeoli. Hubby’s barramundi and my steak were just perfect. Reasonable prices a must do if your in Evans Head
