I have travelled through Hay several times on my way to visit close relatives in Mildura and each time I make a point of stopping at Robertsons Hot Bread Kitchen. I have not been able to fault the food or coffee or service on any occasion. My favourite is the freshly made bacon and egg roll, very very satisfying. Keep up the good work.

While in Hay for business trip, we stopped here for Lunch, oh and coffee. The staff were friendly and the food absolutely lovely, some of the bread creations were really morish and tasty. The coffee is divine as are the caramel salted frappes. I did try their Vanilla slice, can't say it was the best, too much gelatine in it so a bit rubbery and hard. but the bread is a sure winner, and the apple turnovers were lovely. I would recommend coming to have lunch here, it was very busy and constant in customers.Wheelchair and Wheelie accessible. No toilets, have to go to info centre for them.

Coffee was great.Pies and pasties ok. Pastie had good fillings but mainly tasted sweet. Recommend the lamb and veg pie, however lots of sugar added.Pepper pie was not to my liking, just a plain pie with pepper sprinkled on the lidI would try the other fresh sandwiches and rolls, wraps etc. All looked good so will visit again

Lovely country bakery. Fresh bacon and egg rolls made to order on the spot. Pasties to die for and the coffee is the perfect temperature. Excellent service.

Pro's - the complimentary dog biscuits were a nice touch (by way of explanation, we had a dog with us - I'm not sure we would have been offered them otherwise) & deserved 1 star just for that.- they were the only place open for food in the middle of a Monday afternoon, & we'd just driven 6 hours.Cons - probably the only change to the menu in the last 40 years are the plastic squeeze packs of tomato sauce. The fruit smoothies are not actually made with fruit (I'm thinking vanilla ice cream & a pump pack of flavouring). If there'd been another option I would have taken it, but it did get us back on the road pretty fast.

Great find. Very popular and we can see why. Pies were flavourful and lots of filling. Great range of flavours too. Good coffee. Giving a 6 out of 5 for the complimentary dog treat bag.

Liked this place. Very busy, but the service was quick. Had a great leisurely breakfast here. We also took the opportunity to buy morning tea for later and also some very tasty pull apart bread to have with dinner the next day. Would recommend this place.

My family and I stopped by this bakery for breakfast on a long road trip we were doing. Don't judge a book by it's cover as they say, and don't judge this little country corner shop by its exterior or location. It was one of our best breakfast meals on the entire trip!! We ordered a big breakfast, toasted banana bread, a B&E roll and a B&E sandwich and a couple of coffees, and each meal was cooked to perfection, ample portion sizes and absolutely delicious!! Everything tasted fresh and well made and on top of that, the staff were friendly. It truly was a great feed and if I'm ever travelling through Hay again, I will most definitely be back.
