Only About Children Hawthorn

We find all the staff are well informed and very caring towards our child. They all can comment on how his day has been and show an interest in both him and our family. I also think the spaces are great, I love how the resources are targeted to the student’s development stage. Finally they app they use to inform parents about the day, is wonderful, easy to use, informative and I look forward to their daily upload of what my child has learnt/ been exposed,to along with pictures of their day. I would highly recommend OAC and have appreciated all they have done as our family transition to both parents returning to work.

Only About Children is bad brand.

Caring staff who my son absolutely adored (Nursery at OAC Hawthorn). LOVED the updates via the ap (made leaving him that much easier) Efficient and friendly service from all areas of education and admin. I had to put my son into day care at 11 weeks and was a bit nervous but he absolutely thrived under the guidance of the amazing educators. I could not be happier..I just needed to move him to his big sisters day care for my own sake! But I am so sad to go. What a wonderful environment they have created.

Aesthetically this Centre in hawthorn looks great and I like their philosophy on childcare and education and was very interested in enrolling my daughter here. However I never got the opportunity as the management and communication at OAC is terrible! After multiple emails and phone calls to try to book a tour and get some answers to questions, I would never hear back, emails would be answered once but no follow up. Tour times weren’t available at a convenient time, was told I’d get calls back to book in a tour but never did. I was constantly chasing them up asking for a response. So in the end I gave up and enrolled my daughter elsewhere, where I was able to get in for a tour the next day at a time that suited me and caring staff with excellent communication skills.

Wonderful Director with good communication. Beautiful rooms and outdoor spaces, educators are warm and engage the children in wide range of activities. My daughter is very comfortable to be herself and feels safe and happy at OAC hawthorn.

Great place if you're looking for a kindy!

My daughters really happy there, and the staffs are extremely friendly and helpful.

I was certainly impressed by some of the staff, my concern was the high turn over. I know the childcare industry is facing labour shortages, but we found the staff turn over a challenge. It seemed once our child got to know a staff member well, it wouldn’t be long before they resigned. Fees are high, so I wish there was more focus on retaining staff.
