When the door works it was great, but support is terrible. It took 3 weeks just to get an address to send back a part that didn't resolve the issue and another week after proving item sent back for a refund. Customer service is absolutely terrible

I purchased a door recently which I believe is faulty. Despite emailing direct and then lodging a query online I have had no response in over a week. I believe my issue may be able to be fixed and that this is just an unfortunate error. However I cannot recommend this business for responsiveness or customer service.

Purchased 15m ago. Have had to replace all working parts. First the motor, it blew in month 1. Chickens bump the door coming in/out sometimes and when they do, the string will come off the wheel or move to the right, stop the door from working and and require me to perform an annoying, manual process to re-align. This still happens at least once per week. The first string disintegrated in month 6, second one is freying now (9m after i put it on). Magnetic sensors died and had to be replaced at month 12. Today, the timer blew. After sales service is a joke. They take 2+ days to answer emails, but you will usually have to call them and ask them to read your email first. To get any answers they make you send videos and write lengthy detailed emails of info only to call you and tell you the issues are not in their control and then advice is for you to spend more money to replace their products. Phone support is no better. The man is abrupt and doesn’t care about the issues or inconvenience associated with the product. The only good thing about the Hen Safe Chicken door the solar panel & battery. Hopefully i will be able to sell them and put the money towards a new. automatic chicken door that actually works!

Excellent door, wish I had put one on my coop years ago. Worked perfect right out of the box and had it installed in about 20 minutes.

Our Hensafe door has been making life easier for the last 10 years! Thank you for keeping our girls safe. It means we can go out and be relaxed if we get home after dark, knowing they are protected from the main predator in Darwin which is the python. Over the years we have needed to replace a battery or other items that deteriorate, particularly in our harsh climate. The after sale customer service is helpful and timely. I recommend this door to everyone I know with chickens!

Have had my Hensafe door for over 12 months and there hasn't been a single problem. It keeps the hens safe at night and is very reliable. I find it a little complex in terms of programming the opening and closing times but that is just because you can set all the days of the week differently if you want, and have it open and close several times a day if that's what you want.

Bought this automatic chook door 5 mths ago & it's the best thing, a great idea! Worked well right from the start. We only have to collect the eggs now, not let chooks out early (when we feel like a sleep in) or lock them in early if we're going out to dinner or a show in town. Plus, we went away for 6 days & didn't have to get neighbours to let them in & out. Our automatic waterer & feeder meant only the eggs needed collecting & there's usually someone happy to do that. Highly recommended.
