Just moved in and couldn't be happier. Nathan and his team did our small 2 bedroom home in Aldinga and they did a fantastic job, it was great to have a builder with a hands on team for our home that was willing to work with us to get exactly what we wanted when we received the keys. If we build again we know who we will be calling.

Absolute Nightmare!Had Nathan Thomas Carpenter/Builder do the foundations and framing for our extension and was nothing short of a nightmare! A 6-8 week job turned into 12 months from hell. We had problems every step of the way - incorrect plumbing laid under slab, concreter damaging our property, 2/3 of external wall framing incorrect dimensions, trusses incorrect, the list goes on!! I would like to think this was a one off situation but when you can't make a corner square, a wall straight, follow a plan to get any room dimensions correct and a building inspector finds 40 faults not to building code, it makes you wonder how many others have been affected by Nathan Thomas Carpenter/Builder's poor workmanship. Disappointing all round!!

A disaster from start to agonising finishWe engaged Nathan Thomas Carpentry/Builder on a cost-plus basis to build our new home and it was a decision we came to regret. The whole process was a litany of error, deception and delay. His total lack of communication, time management skills and transparency became a danger to my health.We signed a contract on 27th March 2019, with the clear expectation that the 6-7-month build stated in the contract would be met. No schedule of works was provided with the contract, but his role was to demolish the old house, clear land, arrange foundation, plumbing, 1st fix carpentry, cladding, internal gyprock and flushing, and 2nd fix carpentry.All other work was my responsibility.It took no time at all to realise we had issues. His incompetence to coordinate, instruct and inspect work was evident at every turn. Work schedules made no sense. Examples are retro-fitting a front porch after we had moved into the house, and refusing to take seriously my repeated requests on installing roof gutters after insulation and gyprock had been installed internally. Eventually, after an overnight downpour, 5 rooms required complete removal and reinstalling of insulation, gyprock and re-flushing. The list goes on.The whole project was delay after delay, requiring my contractors to constantly reschedule. A complete disaster.Final invoice for completed work was received in August 2020, 17 months after contract signed and 14 months after commencement of works. Correspondence from Nathan indicates any fault for the above was mine.We had an independent building report done which indicated we had 2nd-rate flushing work upstairs (a job Nathan did personally rather than engage a professional flusher), door hinges that are upside down with missing screws, silicon missing from various spots on roof flashing, gutters that gather water and a 2nd-rate paint job on the upstairs eaves. None of this has been attended to, Nathan advising that it would only be done if I remove this review.In the end, we have a nice home, but based on my experience and sadly, another reviewer, Lindsay Finn, who placed his review AFTER I had signed a contract, I could not recommend this builder. I’m with you Lindsay, the whole experience was an absolute nightmare.
