PHOTOS ATTACHED AT THE END: Do not recommend ever going to this place. Completely overcharged my friend and I. I paid $450 for my hair to be bleached; it was completely patchy and uneven. There were shades of blue and green in my hair and the scalp was yellow. The stylists have no idea what they are doing. When I came back they told me that it couldn’t be fixed and that it looked really good... I went to Stylz in Hornsby and they fixed my hair straight away for only $130 and it looks stunning. Getting a professional opinion was the best idea; they said that the haircut was awful, that ivy hair co had scalp bleached my hair when they should’ve left a root to allow for a more natural appearance to the hair, and that the colour ivy hair co chose to leave on my hair was not even close to the photo I showed them. And look at the photo of my friends hair! Asked for ash blonde and she was left with orange. And they said it didn’t need to be toned, that a blue shampoo would fix it. My friend and I have both had to go and get our hair fixed after this incident. I would never recommend going here unless you want your hair ruined. And they refused to fix it ! Nice people I think.. but they have no idea what they are doing.Attached are the photos of the condition in which they left our hair.

Very poor communication. Always trying to push customer to purchase.Waiting for nearly 1hour and then was told not available and needed to book another time to cut hair.When finally one hairdresser unhappy to cut my mother's hair, she stopped in the middle of the cutting because I asked her to keep the curly the most. She even yelled to me when I complained about her behaviour. Very rude manner!We left with the unfinished hair cut!Never want to visit again!

Looking at previous reviews I was apprehensive. Went with a Groupon voucher - but charged $25 extra for long hair (mine was down to my waist).I was pleasantly surprised! Will definitely be returning. Great job, beautiful curls to walk away with too. Thanks!

I’ve been going Ivy Hair Salon for more than 3 visits and I like the services provided by stylists Mikayla and Claire. They are gentle and attentive to your hair cut needs.

The staff at Ivy hair are very nice and they make the hair cut experience pleasant. They chat with you if you’re chatty and also know when to not talk if you’re the silent type. I’ve never been disappointed with a hair cut at Ivys. They ask relevant questions to find out what look you’re going for and also check midway to see if it’s going the way you imagined. It was my first visit to this place.I visited for a hair color change and Claire kindly consulted. I was very worried because it was my first hair dye, and she consulted with me enough to understand me and explain the best way. Susie was also very nicely helped during my hair dye. she solved my concerns by explaining my questions in detail, and I am also satisfied with the recommended treatment was really smooth and shiny and lovely haircut. The price was reasonable and she took good care of me to make sure there were no uncomfortable places.As a result, I am so happy with the procedure and my hair color is so pretty. she gave me advice without forgetting to explain in detail what to do few months later.I will definitely be revisiting and am very happy with my first highlight dye here. I heard a lot of good things from my friends, and I recommended this place to my friends a lot. Even after a week, the color is still very pretty. If you are looking for a hair salon near hornsby this is definitely the place. You will not regret choosing this place.Thanks all Ivy.

First they told me incorrect price for hair colouring on phone and Increased it when they started the service. Told a different color and applied a totally different color all together. The hairdresser doesn’t know English properly, not sure how can they even communicate with anyone in Australia. Horrible service overall.

Recommended for Hornsby. They listen carefully and try their best to execute. I have been there a few times and have not been disappointed. Their customer service has been satisfactory.

Not the worst haircut I have ever had, but it's certainly up there. And the overall experience was terrible. They gave me one price when I walked in, then gave me a higher price once I sat down - because it was a 'styled cut'. After I agreed, since I already sat down, she told me that my hair need to be washed (even though I told her I only washed it the day before), and washing was extra. But she didn't know how much more. Once the cutting started, I realized she didn't know how to style cut, nor was she paying attention. So much so, she cut her own finger at one point. I was concerned, and asked if she was okay. She brushed it off as it's nothing, only minutes later she realized/decided she needed to put a bandaids on. As she finished the cut, it was obvious it wasn't straight, so I very politely asked her to fix it. She obliged, but was visibly annoyed. When I left, they charged me almost double the amount that I was told when I walked in. I could never recommend such poor and unfair service.
