H on Smith Hotel

Great location, clean and comfortable rooms, at a reasonable price, parking available at $15 a day. It was not a great experience at the restaurant and bar, but there are many other options available, and there is a supermarket across the road.

We had a wonderful stay at H on Smith from Friday to Monday with Eddie, the assistant Manger and his team catering to all of our requests.The rooms are spotless and serviced daily.. so wonderful to come back to a made bed and cleaned, stocked room after a big day out ! Thank you to the housekeeping team .. fantastic !We had a king twin room on the ninth floor, which was spacious and gave us views of the sea.Check in was so easy, again with Eddie and his team, working professionally and quickly.Parking was behind the hotel and is directly joined to the hotel for very easy access.Located in the heart of Darwin, a short walk to Woolworths and a lovely ten min walk to the Waterfront.Thank you for having us Eddie and H on Smith.

Hotel was fine, room was big but carpet was stained in a few areas and bathroom tiles inside the shower looked like they could do with a good clean. Bed was comfy however we could hear a waste pipe every so often, like running water, must have been close to our bedroom wall. Location was great for being very central.

Stayed here during covid times, hotel has no opening windows and the air conditioning system was terrible, more dust in the room than laying on the esplanade, dodge af, I remember jamming the fire stair well open and top floor for some ventilation! If ya gonna have a hotel with no opening windows, maintain ya f-ing air conditioning system ffs

Excellent apartment style rooms but with full service hotel facilities. Staff were quick and friendly. Quite a good location towards the centre of Darwin but not in a noisy area. Pool looked nice. Clean and very comfortable

So happy staying here. I am here for work (from down South) and each night, sitting downstairs with a glass of red and a fresh meal - really generous and delicious. Great meals, nothing too hard for the staff.

Stayed here for total of 7 days and location is fantastic. Close to centre of Darwin, Mall, shops, restaurants, cafes, waterfront and more.The hotel itself was comfortable with restaurant, 24 hour front desk/ reception, swimming pool, bar and more.Pool was clean and seemed well maintained.Staff were pleasant and accommodating, however were sometimes a little short or off putting, but not rude.Reason for my rating being as it is, is the negative was that due to the cleaning of the room. When I arrived the hotel room seemed OK but j noticed the shower and bathroom seemed to be a little dirty. I didn't say anything as I thought it will get cleaned in the morning anyway when they make my room up. Unfortunately even after mentioning it to reception desk one morning, it was never cleaned once during my stay, however the hotel bed was made up every day.Other small negative is there was never any bottles of water in my fridge, whether complimentary or to pay for. For a hotel in Darwin where temperatures can get high, I thought this to be a negative.Overall stay was pleasant

Not a bad hotel for what it is, but when i stayed here we paid about $150 per night, which is reasonable for what it is, anything over 200 would be pushing it, as its only a 3.5 star hotel over all.The staff were friendly when checking in, helpful and got us checked in no issues. There is parking available on site, and also an area to pull up in your car to unload outside the front of the hotel.The rooms are ok, but feel a little dirty. The carpet seems to need a good clean, and the bathroom grout needs a scrub or re-doing!Bed was O-K but the mattress has seen better days i am sure! Aircon was good and cold, so thats key in Darwin!The breakfast included in the room is only continental, if you want hot food its an additional cost which was a surprise. Continental breakfast was not to bad though, a few options, fruit, cereal, and coffee from a machine. Although its hit and miss finding a clean mug! Coffee wasn't great tasting, so we headed out to Vault nearby for our morning coffee fix.Not a bad spot, close to everything in the city and the waterfront, walking distance, or scooters out the front you can use for a small fee.Good work desk in the room to sit down and do some work, comfortable and free WiFi.Thanks for the stay! good aircon!

Booked through Qantas and pictures made it look amazing but I got a very dark room looking into a car park. As cars drove out they could see into the room so I had to have curtains closed all day. But nice pool and bar, and decent gym too with a nice view.

Asked for the pool to be cleaned on multiple occasions over a week which it was not, given lip service by the staff and excuses as to why it wasn't cleaned. Air conditioner in the room didn't work properly and room wasn't cleaned properly, rubbish left in the room daily. Have stayed there for the last 3 years will not be staying again, management pull your socks up very poor.
