Adelaide Takemusu Aikido Club (Trinity Gardens)

Only good things to say about this club!My boys are 8 and 10 and have been training at the Trinity Gardens dojo for just over 2 years now..my older son has gained confidence and better decision-making skills while my younger son has learnt some impulse control and respect.Both have learnt to defend themselves simply and calmly (without violence or shouting).Being part of a larger 'family' of dojos within the club means there's a real sense of belonging to the ATAC community (as well as offering the opportunity to train in other dojos if convenient or if wanting a change of scenery).The head instructor, Peter, just naturally teaches mindfulness and respect along with the actual aikido moves and techniques. He is firm with the kids and sets clear boundaries and expectations, but that comes right alongside big doses of fun. He rewards effort along the way (between official belt gradings) to keep the kids engaged and keen.This is the longest my boys have ever stuck at something and they love it!

There are so many benefits for my son from Aikido. Peter is a very supportive and encouraging Sensei.
