I had for years put off finding a replacement dentist in Canberra after moving here from interstate. When I finally signed up at Capital Dental in Conder, I had accumulated a backlog of dental issues that needed attention, so I've undergone a representative number and range of procedures (filling, crowns, extractions) in a relatively short time at the gentle hands of Dr Maria Andersson.All of my surgical dental work at the practice has been done by Maria. Even though I'm not at all a nervous patient, she still seeks frequent feedback during the work as to the patient's comfort, and I think she makes a practised art form of delivering anaesthetic injections as comfortably as possible. Dealing with the front-counter staff is always a friendly minimum-of-fuss experience. Based on the experiences that I have had at Capital Dental over a relatively compressed timeframe, I have no reservations about having signed up there, nor about recommending them to others.Capital Dental is located in the Lanyon group centre. The group centre is a bus terminus; there is ample untimed car parking around the group centre; and if you're having a crown done and your dentist asks you to kill time for an hour while they manufacture the crown, you can avail yourself of the usual shopping opportunities at a group centre.Will Pugh-Calotte is a pseudonym that my Google account has always had, so, Maria, you'll just have to speculate which patient I might be. :-)

Maria and her staff are extremely professional with an added friendly and personable touch. Treatment plans are explained and costed so you have a comprehensive long term plan about what your dental requirements are. Also, I have been thrilled with the work I have had done. Particularly the crown work. My teeth look so good! Finally, needles that don’t hurt!

I never post reviews on Google but I feel so blessed to be a patient of Dr Maria. Her knowledge and quality of care is above and beyond, so much so that I drive from the furthest-opposite side of town to see her. She's given me my smile back after a horrendous accident and I'm forever grateful - thank you Dr Maria.

Dr Vivian is amazing! I was really nervous about having a tooth pulled out and she was so gentle and efficient I didn't even realise it was all done. Really impressed. She has also been excellent with both my kids for their general check ups, making them feel very comfortable.
