Couldn't see a doctor and nurse wouldn't or Couldn't give me medication or script for gout pain. Simple problem, but no solution. What a waste of tax payers dollars.I have utmost respect for the people who choose to work in the profession, but this is not the care that the majority of Australians expect. It's a story that you would think comes out of the US.Starting to feel like magrating !

At 6.40am i arrive at the hospital with my 24 year old daughter who had extreme high temperature of 40.3 degrees and she collapsed on the emergency floor. No staff to be seen so I went looking for a nurse. Found them and they still wouldn't come see her so we left and I drove to emerald hospital where she was diagnosed with Meningitis on the brain ! FAILURE OF THIER DUTY OF CARE COULD HAVE COST MY DAUGHTER'S LIFE!

Had a really bad experience with a nurse that works here, she has no empathy, and comes across very cold.

This place doesn't even deserve one star. They don't even have a doctor on staff. They have equipment, but no one on staff available to perform x-rays or ultrasound scans. I have to take my son to Mackay, for treatment that should be available in any town.

My husband who is under the care of Mackay Base Hospital was told he shouldn't waste the Dr's time to get an injection at Moranbah Hospital as it is Emergency only. My specialist told him to complain as the advice is wrong. The head Dr told him to go to his clinic and pay to get it done. It seems this Doctor likes sending patients to his clinic. It is probably a good way to gain new patients An investigation is underway.

Some of the nurses here should not have a job. They treat you like an inconvenience and make belittling comments. I would travel to Mackay or even Sarina before ever going there again! No one should ever be treated that way, especially from health professionals!
