The Rusty Penny has friendly service, good food, tasty beer, a pool table, fun music and sports projected in the wall. Dogs are welcome too!

Recently had lunch at the Rusty Penny. The beer selection is quite extensive – all beers tried were good, tasty and cold so well done here. A couple of beer types are $8 and $12 but the majority are $10 a schooner.Lunch – tried the BBQ Sandwich (which interestingly came on some sort of buns) for $18. This was very underwhelming to say the least. Chips were an extra cost at $10.50 for a large serve – which I thought was a small serve. On balance – maybe the food was not the best on the day – certainly dear and small for what you pay. The beer was good and $10 is about the going price for a better quality schooner. Would I try the place again – probably will.

Top quality beers and brisket that takes your breath away. IMO you have stolen then number 1 brisket in Australia from my old favourite in Wollongong. I had a shocking brisket in Katoomba the night before, which had me borderline depressed. The brisket I had at your brewery restored my faith in humanity. Thank you so much.

We’ve been coming here for 6 years and never had a bad experience. Great to see the coffee coconut pale ale back again, best tasting beer I had at GABS this year by far. Hope to see this become part of the core range.

On a holiday from Singapore and we went by Rusty Penny as we were on the hunt for some local beers.Excellent beers - the High Street Haze was superb stuff. The American BBQ was also very good, but if I were to nitpick, the brisket and wings ended up a tad dry (but this really is a nitpick). I thought a little more fat / juiciness would've elevated it even further.Fries were some of the best I've eaten - crispy outside, moist inside.I also found the smokes less salty than those I've tried in NYC, which is of course a plus as it is less unhealthy.5 stars for service. It was a blisteringly hot day (39 deg heatwave in March), and one of the blokes saw that I filled up tap water in my bottle from the bathroom. He came over, took my bottle, and filled it with ice cold water. Amazing stuff. Finally, this store also exemplifies the crew's dedication to their craft. Brisket is smoked for 12 hours until midnight daily, and then left to rest for 10 hours. This is painstaking effort that deserves some recognition.

Good Brewery, lots of beer choices, from light lagers to dark stouts. Also there is the brisket place in there as well. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because it can get crowded and leaves you with little table spaces.

Great dining experience. Fantastic food and friendly staff. Fun vintage Nintendo and Sega games for the kids (big and small). Very spacious, laidback venue, so you don't feel like you're on top of other diners.
