Budget Car & Truck Rental Gold Coast Airport

Made a booking for 17thjuly till 22nd.Totalling to $625. Was charged $679, when asked why I was told it's a bond which covers tolls and if the car was returned with full fuel and will be refunded once the car is returned.That's was few weeks ago and I haven't seen any refund.You call them and get put through Customer service or reservations department the most useless department I have ever came across.It's just being truthfull to the customers.Probably will choose someone else next time. It's a shame that Qantas recommended them.

Atrocious. Prebooked using Airpoints. Got to counter and was told that because I - as credit card holder - didn't have a license (my husband did) we couldn't have the car. And they made the ridiculous assertion that this could somehow be fraud. I showed the email received from Airpoints which clearly said I only needed to be present at time of pick up - but they wouldn't budge. If this is their policy fine - but they were not at all helpful in finding solutions - just cancelled booking immediately and tried to move us on. Surfers Rental Cars across the road are a cheaper, friendlier option with no hidden costs or bad attitudes.

Take them as last option or take taxi instead of renting from them. No correct information will be given before taking your money. Lady name Liz. She will change her statement about access that will be charged to you after taking your rental fees.

Worst car rental company ever dealt with. Would have given zero star if there was an option. DON'T BOOK WITH BUDGET.Paid for 4 days but had to pick up a day later, so used it for 3 days only. Still they charged me extra on already paid amount.Every time different agent answers and spend at least an hour explaining the same dispute. In the end there was no resolution.All agents need training, they just don't know how to handle queries.

Why Only 1 star: Double charged me and after lot of phone calls charged me extra and then refunded me some only to have take $100 extra without any of my fault. No damage to car, petrol was returned in full, car was clean.Why even 1 start: That is minimum you can give. And the behaviour on the counter while delivering the keys was good and they waited for their customers including me for handing over the keys due to multiple flight delays that night.

Fabulous Service!I hired a Nissan X trail or similar for our trip to the Gold Coast over the weekend. Received a shiny clean car which was easy to use. Brilliant customer service by the gentleman at the airport desk with a couple of jokes cracked to boost. Easy to return the car with no hassles and recommend to anyone. Thank you to the staff at Gold Coast Airport Budget :)

【PLEASE BlOCK Your Credit Card after booking !! Otherwise your money will be take away for NO REASON 】Never refund the deposit, make stories and excuses charge more, later return card has been charged one day extra $168, cheating me buy the double full insurance ! Wait one more month didn’t refund the deposit and finally charge more, After I asked them refund, they said my credit card issue, asked me other credit card for the refund , after I provide them my new credit card, they took me $1000 more with no reason, they make the fake transition fake receipt to cheating money from my credit card! They are defrauding company ! Their main job is cheating and stealing ! ! !

Worse rental office yet all they were worried about was me taking out insurance so they can make more money...got given the wrong car under somebody else's name and best I got from them was it happens at times when we are busy but trust me they were not busy....this experience is just a reminder as to why I hire through europcar.....I would rather walk then hire a vehicle from budget

The worst car rental ever... making a booking within one price and after 15 minutes on the counter the young lady Lizette assisting us to pay more... Insurance with $0 payment damages entry... Not to mention that I lost points, and she didn't even bother to explain that the credit cards need to match with a driving license... In terms and conditions are not mentioned at all too. Within so many trips to GC and other places, this was the worst experience ever, not to say that my holiday mood is gone... What is the point of advertising? - If you book with Quantas or Virgin, you will get points, pay with credit card, AMEX, and all... multi billion lies everywhere!!!

Reserved a sedan, but was pleasantly surprised with an SUV upgrade! The car pick-up and drop-off were incredibly swift, and I encountered no problems with the vehicle. It was an absolute joy driving to and from Byron Bay. A big thank you to the team for providing exceptional service!
