Elephants Rest: African Garden Gallery
Loved this place, atmosphere excellent, the animal sounds the information and the life size African animals fantastic, we had African Samosas, plus Hummingbird cake my god the best, topped off with Pinna Colada but without alcohol as we were driving.Wow excellent for a day to relax in something Soo different.Cheryl and Bob great hosts and hostess full of information so relaxing.

This is a real hidden gem to be discovered. The cake, samosas and scones are great to begin with. The exhibition of photos, video and decoration show heaps of passion of the owners for Africa. You would be blessed to hear their amazing stories of their journey living in Africa.

Well what can I say, this beautiful place is tucked away in Callington & it is a truly wonderful place to visit. I was lucky enough to be taken there for a surprise by my friend & I throughly enjoyed it. 10 out of 10 guys for the atmosphere, variety, food & drinks and of cause the service. I enjoyed looking at their range of nick naks, jewellery, paintings and photos of their African journeys. What an Out of Africa experience……..Definitely a must go place!!

We had such a wonderful time, the food was fresh and very very tasty. Night time is the best time to go to get a real feel of the atmosphere. I want to take the rest of my family here for an evening meal. Set price and set menu done superbly. Hopefully taking some friends for a coffee one weekend soon. Well done !!

They love all things African and have been frequent visitors to the continent over the years and their passion and enthusiasm shows. They are great hosts and are happy to share their experiences from their travels whilst catering to their guests needs.

Such a lovely hideaway for an afternoon. Went for a light lunch of Bob's famous samosas (absolutely great!!). Stayed for an afternoon tea of beautifully cooked scones with jam and cream. Mine hosts Bob and Cheryl made us feel at home. The African theme is magnificent. So delightful and only a short drive in between Adelaide and Murray Bridge. Would have to be one of the best places for afternoon tea I have found in the whole of South Australia

For something very different, worth your time checking it out. Very friendly and welcoming. They will share their African adventures with everyone who visits. Don't expect pub meals or pies and pasties. They have samosus and Devonshire teas. And cake of the day.
