I got some ink done by apprentice Elaine, absolutely fabulous work. Super professional and kept checking in, even though I'm a seasoned receiver of tattoos. Can't wait to book in for more ☺️

(Sorry about my writing if the grammar is poor)This is the first time I’ve been to a tattoo studio, the environment itself was clean, I didn’t see any dust and the atmosphere was pretty friendly. Why I didn’t give 5 stars is cause I believe there’s always room for improvement, but saying that I did find it very calming when getting my tattoo of a red string wrapping around a Penguin with a little red heart.The apprentice was the one that did my tattoo, they checked and made sure I was okay before, during and after the tattoo was done. They gave me information about how to take care of my tattoo and what I could expect to happen. The owner was there watching over the session.I’m considering coming back here to get more ink in the future, but for now I’m still quite happy with the little tattoo I’ve got.

Eliza and I emailed back and forth to set a date what worked for both of us for a tattoo. On the 6th of December 2022 I confirmed that the date 24th of February 2023 worked for me. She received my $100 deposit on the 1st of December. Unfortunately something very important came up and I had to cancel. I emailed her about this on the 9th of December 2022, plenty of notice for a Feb 24th appointment. I heard nothing from her so I sent a follow up email on the 23rd of December and at this point, it wasn’t even about getting my deposit back, I just wanted to make sure she had received my email so she didn’t end up getting to the date and not having anything booked in. Again, no response. I then turn to instagram sending her a message there, hoping for a reply. At this point I’m like, okay she’s ghosted me for sure and is keeping my deposit. I didn’t expect this from Eliza, I’ve been tattooed by her twice before and she was super nice. She’s a gentle and talented artist but it’s now 5pm on the 24th of February 2023, the date the appointment was originally scheduled for and I’ve still had no contact and she still has my money. Hope that you don’t have to cancel an appointment with her I guess…Update: emailed and demanded my deposit back 28th of Feb. Turns out she has a ridiculous rule that if you’ve rescheduled once you lose you deposit if you have to again. Mind you the first “reschedule” of mine was 4 days after she send me the date because I couldn’t get the date off work. I admit I didn’t real this BS rule and regardless, ghosting someone is super unprofessional and she had months to let me know that was why I didn’t get it back.Avoid if you don’t want to be ghosted and god forbid you can’t get the day off work, have something super important come up or get sick otherwise you lose $100.

I've had a great experience with all the staff at The Coven. My tattooist, Elaine (an apprentice) was very thorough and professional throughout the whole experience.The studio is a very welcoming and clean environment, there are even fidget toys on offer if you'd like an activity to distract you.I was able to come back for free touch-ups after healing and enjoyed my experience so much I got some impromptu flash inked while I was there!Very happy to support a new studio venture from these very talented women.

Very clean and comfortable tattoo studio, and Eliza was super gentle and did a fantastic job! Happy to have such a great studio in Geelong, looking forward to coming back again!
