Chicken n Fish

Fish n chips are a national comfort food and every man and his dog at some stage has had fish n chips in their lifetime so theres plenty of fish n chip connoisseurs out there and competition is very high. I've eaten here on a few occasions, hoping that each time would be better than the last. I purposely come a little earlier, before the lunchtime masses arrive, to ensure I get the freshest possible cook and not from the display unit. Unfortunately I was disappointed. Service: the service wasnt shocking, infact, they were pleasant and engaging, however, when I asked for a piece of fish to be cooked fresh, it was declined and I was given a peice from the display...ok.The Food: I was assured the fish in the disply was freshly cooked but it was undercooked, the fish had not thawed out properly and I could taste it throughout the fish...the chips weren't hot but nice but the salad was fresh and very tasty. The gravy was thicker than I liked but thats just personal preference. The shop display: The salad bar looked amazing, it was full and colourful and very appetizing, however, the hot display looked bare, colourless and it looked old.The cost: I dont consider what I got was value for my money, to me, if you pay a premium price, you should at least get a premium product and this wasn't the case.Summary: People will wait as long as it takes to get good fish n chips. Fish n chips have never been a fast food...with exception to lunchbars but you're not paying premium prices. Its a shame people will continue to go there and eat, finish their meal kmowing there was something better somewhere else.My recommendation...dont take the family their and stick to your local or favourite fish n chip shop. If your eating on the go then this could be a place for you....especially if you're hungry for fish n chips. 2 star rating because I hope they make changes

Total waste of money! Reviewer who said excellent food must be the owner! Cold chips, tasteless gravy and overpriced! No freshly cooked food so goodness knows how long it lies there and is it even safe when the temperature is so cold? I would say the staff are rude but in fairness I think they are just too young and undertrained with no support. Man claiming to be the boss on the other hand was extremely rude to myself and the poor girls who work there. AVOID!!!!

Absolutely DISGUSTING! Service was horrible from blonde girl there. Staff members wearing shorts so short you can't even see if theyre wearing pants! How can you call that hygienic?

Very disappointed overall. Staff member that served me was rude. Chips were undercooked and left on top of counter to go cold while we waited quite a while for chicken roll, which although good size was cold and not very nice. Wont be going back.

The worse fish and chips I ever had in my life. I had to throw up fish as soon I had first bite. I did not eat it. I had to throw it in the binPlease do not buy fish and chips, otherwise you will regret

Purchased fish and chips. Worst fish I’ve ever eaten. The fish was left to sit for so long that the batter was soggy. I threw the lot in the bin. What a waste of money.

Waited roughly 7 minutes for service. Bain Maries were all empty, fridges were only half stocked, and no sign of any workers. Went next door and got served straight away only to see a blonde girl on her phone behind the counter. Sat in the food court and watched the shop, onlytonly see potential customers leave because of a lack of service and no food on display. However, thank you to bhoj for a fantastic meal. Highly recommend any other food outlet...

Travelled all the way from Kalgoorlie decided to drive a hour from Bunbury to the Mandurah Forum today on WA DAY! ordered fish and chips then partner ordered a fish burger she then followed with sorry we have no rolls left i said what about the two in the bain Marie can he have one of those she said sorry they have been on display for A FEW DAYS and we have none left out back DISGUSTING WHO EVEN SAYS THAT.The rolls are displayed beside other food they sell to us. Food safety and Regulations obviosly not followed their. SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN YUCK
