A lot of the reviews/pics seem to confuse this site with the Botanic Gardens, but the Botanic Park is actually a separate area just north of the Botanic Gardens (and south of the Zoo). It’s more of a park setting with large areas of turf and a canopy of various trees. It’s a great place to picnic or relax and is free to enter (and appears to be open 24 hours/day). One of the main things we enjoyed were the thousands of gray-headed flying foxes (aka bats) hanging around in the trees. Such a cool sight! Nice place to visit if you’re in the area, though if you have limited time, head straight to the Botanic Gardens.

The Adelaide parklands are a national treasure. Adelaide is the only city in the world designed totally surrounded by parklands, with many facilities for families to enjoy, such as playgrounds, bike tracks and tennis courts. Botanic Park is one of the nicest parks and a perfect spot to relax. Its beautiful whether its fall or spring. Long routes for long walk or green fields for picnic. Gorgeous scenery for photo shoots during different seasons too. Make sure you take food and snacks as you might not find anything other than coffee van there.

Up there with Sydney Botanic Garden & Brisbane's Mt Coot Tha these gardens have a wonderful mix of mostly Mediterranean, temperate & arid climate plants. There are plenty of themed areas & enough to keep kids interested for a few hours. There are many very established tree specimens from around the globe. The museum of agricultural plants is very interesting. Right now the corpse plant is flowering.

I really love the set up of this zoo. U wont actually feel or think that you are in the zoo, it’s more like you are in the natural habitat of these wonderful animals.

Womadelaide 2023: Florence and the Machine was amazing, vocally effortless, I couldn't keep my eyes off her and she was a real crowd pleaser. This was followed by an insane french aero performance called the square of angels (english) where the performers were zip-lining 30 metres in the air. Mind blowing!Food vendors plentiful, stages reasonably well set up but not wheel chair accessible. Well done though to all that put in the time and effort setting it all up.The sweet potato food van made it all happen for us.
