2 stars for Milwaukee hand held circular saw and warranty process customer service from Milwaukee and Sydney tools.Had purchased over $2000 and more in tools. Close to $10,000. Upgraded my tools so spent the money plus in Milwaukee tools. The hand held circular saw kept tripping off and blade won’t just turn on. Lights would just come on but the blade won’t turn. The cutting blade would either turn on or turn off and won’t start. There’s no physical damage to the tool since it’s only about 3-4 months old and is fairly new. I look after my tools, so there’s no reason for me to damage it intentionally. Milwaukee in its website under warranty clearly mentions if a major defect is identified, that the consumer has right to either get a full credit refund or replacement. To fulfil this warranty process, Sydney tools took in the machine, gave me a call after 2 weeks or so that the machine is working. I was out of tool for this period. I told the rep that the machine is working but the problem is it keeps tripping off and sometimes won’t spin the blade. It was written like that in the warranty claim paper work as well. The rep confirmed that I will get a refund credit or a replacement if this happens again. The circular saw has started to give problems again today after just few days of repair and I rang the rep guy at Sydney tools about this issue. He informed me he has to send this to Milwaukee over-east as that’s where the main decision is made. I questioned him isn’t this what he was doing last time? If I send the machine, it will be the second time I will be out of tool for long time. Clearly, these guys don’t understand the value of time and resource at work site. And clearly, this isn’t a fair trading practise from Sydney tools and Milwaukee customer service.A consumer may have genuine or fake concerns over usage of tool. Whatever the reason maybe, it’s the responsibility of the merchant to fully oblige with providing quality service and providing a fair trading opportunity.I want a replacement or credit back on the Milwaukee hand held circular saw and don’t want to wait any longer.

Took a Makita cordless drill into the shop . I needed new brushes .After a 15 minute shoulder shrugging session , somebody said check the model no and order the part , after 30 minutes , after dismantling the drill and pointing out the parts i needed , the order was completed .I was told it would take 3 to 5 working days , and they would call me when the brushes arrived .17 days later , after no call , i phoned them to check my order. After a 15 minute hold delay , then another 5 on hold , i was told my order was in stock .I informed them i would be there within the hour . I was told the order would be at the desk/tills .When i arrrived another 10 minute delay . To find the part .I foollishly did not check it.Upon arriving home , i opened the package , yep , no brushes, the wrong part was ordered.Another phone call , with the promise the manager would call me today..........,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.........No call . The worst customer service i have come across, ever

Really poor customer service, was advised a few days ago that if any problems with product to take it straight back. Blade that was recommended did not cut, paint came off blade after one cut and chipped tiles. Item clearly not fit for purpose. Recommended a different blade for other materials, poor product knowledge, Refused a refund, appalling service, avoid! Will not shop there again.

Good range of power, garden & workshop tools including bits and blades etc.The shop is set out to browse by brand and also the type of tool you are after. The staff are always available, know what they are talking about and willing to help.

Warranty claim took around 6 weeks, zero communication from their end. I had to ring several times to find out what’s going on, they had no idea each time I rang. I had to eventually go into the store and get them to ring the third party repair guy and get some information. Long story short, approx 1 1/2 weeks later I picked up my tool. No problem so far with the repair, but the whole experience was extremely frustrating and the blank looks trying to get them to understand the situation I’m in being out of pocket now hiring gear in the meant time waiting was another level of frustration. I’ll never go back.

Walked in, at least 5 staff behind counter that didn't acknowledge our entry. No prices on anything in Makita section and nothing on display except batteries. We headed to counter to ask some questions when we were approached by staff member. We made the comment there was no prices, he laughed and said no. We said there's nothing in displayto look at, his response was ' I'm not going to open everything '. A tool selling tools. Lost sale, $1000 spent at Total tools.

I guess they just employ people to fill the gaps but have no experience on the items they are selling.

My wife popped in to get some mig welding wire for me Bloke at the counter obviously doesn't deal with women. Needs some customer service training. And when did card sales start getting rounded up? $19.99 for the wire but rounded up to $20. Thought that was for cash sales only? Also, need to sort out your stock barcodes so you don't have to spend ages searching the system when it won't scan. Will be going elsewhere from now on.
