I am a tenant in a property managed by Tiarra Lockwood. Since she has taken over as my agent, I have been very impressed with her professionalism and honesty. As this property is quite old, it does have occasional maintenance problems. Tiarra is always quick to respond and has a cheerful and pleasant manner in doing so. If you don’t want to have deal with offer of purchase papers, being lied to, given excuse after excuse and calls not returned, go elsewhere.I was given the run around for over 2 weeks with this agency, because I live in Melbourne and my time is very thin, I decided to make appointments to see this property that I fell in love with when I saw it on site. I decided afterwards that that was the one and was told to put in an offer to purchase, Ive never experienced this before in any property that Ive purchased, so it was something new. I had a feeling however that this was basically a bid system…and was sent the paperwork, filled in the offer form and was told i would hear in the next 24 hours.So now the games have begun, after 24 hours I called only to be told…Oh we’ve had a lot of interest and your offer is close, it may take another few days but I will call you to let you know. From the conversation at the time it did seem promising,I truely believed I’d been successful, but then the wait began and I sent texts, called and guess what, took ages to get back to me.Obviously I get that it’s entirely the owners choice who they choose to sell to having the highest offer, but tell people the truth, your creating a stressful situation that doesn’t have to be and to be clear, all that had to be said was…sorry you haven’t been successful…So 5 more days of stress waiting I called again only to be told, sorry we don’t have an answer as yet, I fully understand yes, but it doesn’t take that long to give people an answer….. so I made an appointment with another estate agency to see another property, travelling from Melbourne, which is in itself takes time and i thought id call in to see them in person while I waited…where I was told, no answer yet, still waiting…..by this stage I knew that the other person had it and the estate agents were going through the procedures of offers, deposits and settlement dates…it wasn’t half obvious.How frustrating and infuriating that they muck people around by waiting for one persons fiancé to come through keeping the other waiting who, has an unconditional offer…So I chose the other property knowing that, yes its gone and just wanted clarity….After all this I was told the next morning that I hadn’t been successful and that he was sorry blah blah blah and that he knew what I was after and he would let me know etc etc etc….Yep I said, yeh doesn’t matter Ive already chosen this other property, so the phone call was very brief……What a waste of 9 days..seriously!!! Proposal of offer..yeh right…every time that I was given an inspection to a property by this realestate it was an effort, half the time I got excuses, and the other half was oh, call this person or call that person because I don't actually deal with that property. Do they know what their doing? Or are there so many that they cant be bothered?

I had a very positive experience selling my home from the first phone call, discussing strategy, open houses and a fast sale. Dom is knowledgeable, helpful, approachable and very easy to communicate with.

After our home went up for sale with another real estate for the second time, I decided it was time to find a secure rental long term for my family and I to call home. I applied for our new house and in the same day i was in communication with Tiarra and from there on in the process from applying to moving in was so fast and so smooth. I can not fault our experience with BRE thus far and hope that we continue to have a great experience with Tiarra and the BRE team in the future.
