The place is exactly as you would expect. The food here is alright but the portions are a bit on the smaller end. The drinks were alright and can come free with certain dishes but you add $1.50 if you get it cold. Which confuses me as you’re getting less liquid as they just add ice.

Authentic Hong Kong flavours with very friendly staff. Very large portions and wallet friendly.Would highly recommend the Salty egg yolk french toast.Absolutely amazing.Will be back for sure.

A clean restaurant in Eastwood，designed for groups to have meals（lots of tables for four guests），basic HongKong style food.They have set dinner，which is very valuable because they provide free soup，vegetable and rice. （menu is attached）Satay beef and vermicelli in hot pot is highly recommended，because sauce is nice and beef slice is juicy and soft.ps：dishes are served quickly but they forgot the drink I ordered.

Unpretentious Cantonese cafe with friendly and efficient staff. The food was fresh hot and really good. Was in the area on a rainy night when most other places have closed earlier than their published time of 9pm. Chao Kong opens until 10 and we didn't really expect much when we settled for eating here. We ordered a meal for 2 and was impressed by the food quality given the reasonable price and generous serving size. The chef here now must be quite experienced. This is a place to watch.

We ordered two breakfast set. The satay beef with instant noodle is fine but I would like to have more satay sauce. The sausage is too bland, couldn’t taste any salty flavour. The Chinese noodle is delicious though it’s a bit too oily for me. They missed our order for the congee so we waited for a bit long.

Not recommended for anyone. Price isn't the cheapest, and the service is terrible. Such a waste of time and money.New management, horrible experience.Put us at the table next to smelly bathroom, ordered the food and we need to ask for cups for the water instead of staff serving us. We asked to move seats to avoid the bathroom smell and we denied. There is no care for their customers nor even tried to profile any service.They missed one of the drink that comes with the order, which we waited for more than 30 mins. The meals took more than 45 mins to serve.Order a chicken pasta but they gave me a beef pasta. Went ahead anyway, but the beef is RAW, can literally see the red colour in the middle of the beef slide. Asked staff to do a refund for the meal and they just took the meal away.

2023-06-07Had afternoon tea there and the food quality was average for this kind of Hong Kong style cafe (Char Charn Teng). We had one Satay Beef Soup Noodles and one Dry Fried Beef Rice Noodles. The quality of the dishes was acceptable and the portions were average for this kind of afternoon tea sets.
