Lukey’s Mobile Welding and Fabrication

Thanks so much to Luke at Lukey's Mobile Welding for a recently completed project on our work site. It's great to have such a knowledgeable and genuine trade specialist on site when you find defects as we did to stair stringers and structural posts for a deck 3-4 mtrs above ground level. Went in for a small job on our 4x4. Provided detailed pics of the job and what we wanted. Discussed this at length, was given rates ($80 per hour) and felt that what we wanted was understood. Was told 90 minutes later the job was done.....it was not what it was meant to be. I was thoroughly dissappointed that the job we planned was nothing like what we ended up with, and to really top it off was charged almost double what was quoted ($330 instead off the $200 expected).When questioned about this, made all sorts of excuses why it was more for a job he claims to have done hundreds of times, but finally said if I quoted a higher rate u wouldn't have done the job....... sadly, I would have taken it at a higher rate, but I would still be dissappointed in the workmanship.If I got what I was wanting I would have happily paid the higher price. If I got a phone call saying 'hey look I can't do what you want with the tooling I have' I would have been happy, but to not hand keys back until the job was paid for and say tough luck essentially, is very disappointing, and frankly unprofessional. Hard to find such a more efficient, honest or thorough with excellent service and skill and what a absolute pleasure to use this service and definitely recommend to anyine to use lukeys fabrication. Thanks lukey

Luke made up the steel frames for our new front fence, with very fast turn around and quality was spot on. I would highly recommend Luke for all welding jobs. Very impressed to see a tradesman not only deliver on his promise but exceed all my expectations. Thanks LMW look forward to working with you again in the near future.

Luke was very easy to work with, he always had the extra helpful thought. A great problem solving mind.I am very happy with the work he did for my quad and we've now used him on other projects. Whether we dropped something off or he came to site. I will happily refer him for his work, his manners and his reliability.

I needed some modification and welding done to my work tipper truck and Lukey was recommended through some friends of mine that had used him to make a custom tray back for their work ute.I wasn't sure exactly how to achieve what i wanted but Lukey was very knowledgeable and came up with a great design that would work and be strong enough to stand up to my daily abuse.Once i had accepted Lukey' estimate the job was booked in and completed really quickly. I am VERY happy with the workmanship.Highly recommend and I will definitely be calling Lukey the next time i need any repairs or fabrication work.
