Northern Periodontics & Implants

This was my first visit to Northern Periodontics & Implants, for a consultation on my suitability for dental implants.Terri-Lee welcomed me to the clinic, she made me feel comfortable and I formed the impression that I would be well cared for.Dr Mark Farmer introduced himself, he has a calm and friendly demeanour. Dr Farmer explained the whole process thoroughly, in a way that was easy to understand. My concerns were alleviated by his knowledge and detailed explanations.Inside the building, everything looks clean and modern. As you would expect.I should receive my treatment plan soon and I intend to return to Northern Perio for dental implants. Everything about my first visit convinced me that I would receive expert care here.

If I could put zero stars I would, I was discriminated for not wearing a face mask ( No more mandate in place smart this stage) as I have an exemption and health issues, the wait room was empty only the rude receptionist which made me wait outside in the cold like a dog. I have had an exemption for the past 2 years and been everywhere including planes without ever having such a rude encounter. nevermind that I was at the dentist which literally was about to look into my mouth ( obviously no face mask). its not about health, i don’t know what that was about except discrimination .

Recently attended for a clean which was done extremely well by Dr. Chin, no issue with the quality of the service.Just wanted to understand why the 45 minute session cost $650. I understand that Peridontists are highly trained and very skilled and that the cost of running a practice is high BUT $650 for less than an hour!I also understand that dental fees are not regulated and so they can charge whatever they feel is justified.No wonder people struggle to look after their teeth. Be warned and expect to pay top dollar for your treatment.

I had a very positive experience with Dr Farmer and his staff at NPI in Mitcham. They were professional and friendly, and he took the time to explain things thoroughly and clearly. I would be happy to go back. Thanks to the team.
