Hi there, I had an infected ingrown toenail on my right big toe. Despite repeated antibiotics for nearly four months it would be clear up. My GP referred me to ACT podiatry, where I had in rooms surgery to remove the section of the infected toenail. The surgery went very well, and recovery which included follow up in rooms reviews, the toe is pain free will look cosmetically great. The work done and in particular the ‘bedside’ work was professional, reassuring and thorough.Thank you so very much Clayton, Aaron and your fantastic support staff. I truly appreciate your work and support.

I've been a client of Clayton Clews for about four years, and I have found him to be a terrific podiatric surgeon. In fact, between Clayton, Jane and Aaron - all excellent podiatrists - his clinic has treated all of my family!About 12 month ago, Clayton performed a capsular interpositional arthroplasty on my right big toe, which had become highly arthritic and painful. Clayton said he could fuse the joint, but he had had success with the capsular interpositional arthroplasty - essentially a joint reconstruction - so I agreed with that option. 12 months on, the joint is progressing very well. No pain and increasing movement in the joint: I am very happy as my mobility is much improved, and the prognosis is excellent.I would highly recommend ACT Podiatry's services to anyone requiring a good podiatrist. All are passionate about their jobs and committed to resolving their patient's feet issues. I have to say that Clayton in particular enjoys a good chat as well!

I had a wonderful experience with ACT podiatry. Before my surgery with Clayton I had been experiencing pain in my two of my toes for just over 10 years, I had tried going to different doctors and specialists but never found someone who listened to me until I met Clayton! I had an easy surgery experience, the front desk people are great and Clayton has been super helpful! 10/10. My pain is now gone, I am happy I found ACT podiatry!

As the coach of one of largest running groups in Canberra I regularly advise my athletes to see the experts at ACT Podiatry with any foot related issues. Thank you to Clayton, Jane and the team at ACT Podiatry for all of your support.

This has been the best decision I've made. I suffered from severe osteoarthritis in my feet, Dr Clews provided me with an option for reconstruction when no one else did. He explained everything clearly step by step, on surgery day he talked me through everything and was available after the surgery if I had any questions or problems. I am now 6 months post surgery and am getting back to activities I thought I'd never be able to do again. The recovery has been very straightforward, as I had both feet done together I had about 6 weeks in surgical shoes getting around with a walker, after that the stitches/shoes/bandages came off and I was able to start gentle physio exercises again. My feet look so much better than they did (I had big bone spurs on the top of my foot, leading to problems with shoes) I can wear shoes comfortably again, the scars are very neat and over time will be almost invisible. I highly recommend see Dr Clews.

I had bunionectomies on both my feet plus a tailor bunion removed on my right foot. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and osteoarthritis and also had 2 RA nodules removed. 6 months later and I am absolutely delighted with the results. Dr Clayton Clews did an outstanding job. He is both meticulous and knowledgeable. I can now walk for long distances without pain and can fit back into shoes I haven't worn for years. Many thanks also to Theresa, Dr Clew's secretary, for her caring and kind approach. I can now go overseas knowing I can walk with confidence. Thank you for my new feet.

I had both bunions removed and a little toe straightened. Dr Clayton Clew's pre and post care was exceptional. He explained clearly what my problem was and what he proposed to correct it. He answered all my questions and allayed all my fears. One of my biggest fears was keloid scaring, but even after only 3 months the scars from the surgery are beginning to fade.Clayton called me a couple of days after surgery to ensure I understood the post-op care. When I experienced discomfort between scheduled appointments and he was away, he arranged for a colleague to see me and for his colleague to send him photos of the problem. Clayton was concerned about infection and called me to organise appropriate treatment.I have been well cared for and my feet are improving rapidly. I have a good range of movement. My pain has reduced and while I still have a way to go before I'm completely healed, I am very pleased with the outcome so far. Photos below are pre surgery and 3 months post surgery.I have no hesitation in recommending Clayton.

I booked an appointment for a shoe fitting with a podiatrist via email, hoping that she would be the best person to fit my difficult feet. We drove 4 hours there for the shoe fitting specifically. When we arrived there was zero parking for their shop in the parking building next to them. The secretary had no listing for my booking, and I had been double booked by the podiatrist herself. There were no chairs without arms, so couldn't sit down. Then she offered for me to sit in one of the spare rooms. The podiatrist didn't take one look at my feet, nor measure them. All she did was look at the shoes I brought with me. She then came back 10 minutes later with shoes literally 7 sizes smaller than my shoes, and tried putting them on. No good.Went away, came back again, put some sandals on my feet that wouldn't close. Wanted me to try walking around in them? How?...This went on and on, hardly listening to what I was looking for. Then when I said to stop and that they had nothing suitable, she was trying to get me to order something in from the catalogue, but obviously I can't order something in to buy without trying them on first, so we left. $160 out of pocket for a podiatrist fee and a useless and wasted 9 hours of mine and my parents lives. We should have just gone to the shoe shop itself, as the podiatrist seemed to have less clue that the shoe shop might have.I wouldn't recommend this place or the shoe place.

If I hadn't changed podiatrist I probably would have lost my foot/leg due to diabetic charcot foot. I saw Shaun Vu for a general podiatry appointment, who picked up a serious problem with my foot. A MRI confirm Shaun's diagnosis and consulted with Clayton Clews (Podiatric foot and ankle surgeon). Good Friday, Shaun and Clayton gave up some of their Easter to cast my foot and 1/2 my leg as it was extremely urgent so the bones did not collapse. After 5 months which included cast changing and checking every 4 weeks,, I have progressed into a walking boot and am well on the way to leading a relatively normal life again with both feet in tact. From the minute I walked into the practise, Terrese was welcoming and friendly. Shaun and Clayton, were friendly and extremely knowledgeable. No question was too minor or stupid.I have told my whole story to express how professional, knowledgeable and friendly these people are and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure you get the care you need.I'd give them more stars if I could. Thanks to all of you:)
