I have been learning guitar with Jake since 2016. He has an amazing knowledge of music has taught me many different genres along the journey including rock, blues, jazz, Brazilian and African.Jake’s teaching skills are great. He has the ability to break songs down into manageable pieces and has a real knack for weaving theory into each song that he teaches.Jake has also been teaching my 2 daughters guitar and drums for the last 4 years and thanks to his professionalism and nurturing environment my girls knowledge of music, musical skills and confidence to play in front of an audience is through the roof!Young or old I would highly recommend Jake and the team at Blake Music School for your music tuition.

I have been having guitar lessons with Jake from Blake Music School, for just over 2 years now and have found them great. i came in not having played guitar before and now can confidently play a number of different songs from all sorts of genres and his ability to break down and explain music theory has made it so much less daunting than i thought it would be.Coming in as a “Mature” student i was a bit nervous that i would be a bit slow to pick it up or just be out of place learning a new instrument so late in the game, but Jake’s chill/welcoming attitude, mad guitar skills and ability to pass on his knowledge, working from where you are at and from what you are interested in is impressive in a way that doesn't make you feel dumb.If your looking for a Friendly, knowledgeable place to learn an instrument i would defiantly recommend Blakes music school.
