Nice place can have a camp fire toilets flushing and good bush walking or mountain bike riding plenty of space for all types of vans.

Nice big campsite. Has flushing toilets (and not drop ones) !! Loved being amongst the trees. Lots of fire pits. Has a few picnic tablesI went during a long weekend and it was not too packed, just enough peopleLots of walking trails around, short and long ones directly from campsite. Nice and serene for you to enjoy being in nature

Really great camp, can be cool at the top of a mountain over night.Flushing toilets, fire pits and tables. Gets busy. Shame you can't book a site.. free if you can get a spot. A few great walks.

Had an amazing weekend for a friend's birthday up at the picnic area, managed to snag a pretty secluded campground for us to stay at with a massive fire bit and enough space for 3-4 tents and a few cars to park. Had an amazing view of the sunrise with just a short walk from the tents. Would highly recommend to anyone that is local looking for an overnight stay not to mention the best part is fully plumbed toilets!

Leanganook Camping Area
Only parked here to go for a walk, but can report that the toilet facilities were clean. No power sites. A few picnic benches. Probably difficult to get to with caravan but good for cars/campervans. Lots of space. Great point for starting a day hike.

I want to say one star so no one goes and keep it for ourselves . But great spot. Big and spacious. Normal toilet. No motorbikes or chainsaws.
