Fishermans Beach

Such a beautiful beach. The weather was pleasant. Waves were not so high. Good beach for children and families as well.

Fisherman's Beach is the quieter of the beaches in Torquay - also known as Fisho's, by the locals. At one end you will find a boat ramp, the Salty Dog Cafe - great to grab a coffee or healthy snack from [see separate review] and Yellow Bluff [a cool looking cliff]. There is plenty of parking along the beach- on street and parking bays.This beach varies in textures from almost a clean, blonde sand to sand mixed with debris from the tide. Many people use this beach to walk their dogs or do their daily exercise. If wanting a beach that you can let your dog roam free on all year round, try Cosy Corner. A perfect place for those with children who want to learn to swim and have a cricket/frisbee/volleyball game, build sandcastles or have a picnic.As this beach is calmer than others, it offers a broader range of sporting choices. You may wish to try some of these: SUP, swimming, paddleboard, kite surfing, kayaking, snorkelling, walking, bike riding on the paths along the shore, windsurfing, sailing, jet-skiing, jogging, running - you get the idea - endless possibilities!A fun, easily accessed and relaxing place for all!

This beach stretches a long way. Unlike the beaches closer to the township of Torquay, this one is a little disappointing.You can launch your boat here but saw two people really struggling and chatted to one of them who said it’s white treacherous depending on the tides.There is a drain here that oozes into the sea so it’s a bit stinky. Lots of dogs (near the Salty Dog Cafe) and unfortunately some people don’t pick up their poop.Found it a bit of an untidy beach and could be so much better.Good parking.Opposite Wyndham Resort.

Nice beach with the softest sand. Very clean as well. I love that parking is close by too. Perfect beach for the kids.

Nice place...Good beach with access to parking and variety of food and drinks...

This is a nice flat beach for the family with young kids everything is very visible so you can easily keep an eye on the kids. It does get busy during the peak season so advisable to come early and put up your beach tent if you have one and make it a day.

Beautifull beach for a walk!

This is a great local beach in Torquay. There is clean sand and a lot of space for dogs to run. There are also nice parks with swings, exercise equipment, and walk trails too. Plenty of parking around as well as public toilets avaliable.
