Australia Post - Orange Post Shop

Got there at 5pm on the dot to pick up one parcel after my partner had been at work all day and I had no car. There was one man coming out and I could see at least 2 other customers in the store. As I was running up the stairs, the lady working practically ran to the door, stood in front of me, put her hand in my face and said “We’re closed.” I tried to explain I only had one (IMPORTANT) package to pick up but again she put her hand up and said “No, We’re closed.” I walked down the stairs to look for my partners car and as I looked back up, she was still standing at the door just watching me walk away.I understand closing times, however a simple “I’m sorry, we are closing now, we open again at 9am tomorrow morning” would’ve sufficed. Is there a way I can change my preferred post office as I do not want to have to deal with this one again.

Dropped into the Australia Post outlet in Summer Street Orange today (several times) for a Passport renewal and had the pleasure of being served by Katrina C. What an absolutely wonderful person. No matter how many mistakes I made, nothing was a problem for her. Katrina is efficient, polite, and the whole time treats the customer with a quality of service rarely seen these days. She is an absolute asset to Australia Post, and a role model for politeness.

I have a post box there and twice now they have returned parcels delivered to the post box as return to sender. I have already lodged a complaint about this and yet they have returned it again!! I am overseas and have advised them of this and asked them to please keep things until I return and yet they still have returned packages. Just the most incompetent people.

Disgusting customer service. I waited in line for 20 minutes to deposit a cheque. However when I got to the counter the employee realised it didn't have my last name on it. She then asked me to leave the line so she could keep serving and said to come back to the front once I'd done that. She then did not acknowledge me again and continued to serve other people. Go to east Orange if you want decent service.

On the 9/4/21 after noon at approx. 15:45Pm I went to pick a parcel at Australia Post as the text message I received told me to. I was next in line and when I told the customer Representative what I wanted She was rude to me, intimidating and insulting. Her next comment was if you don't like it go file a complaint". That's what I did next "File a complaint"Your customer service is terrible and no one deserves to be spoken to like that ever."

In general this post office is awful if you require anything more complicated than buying stamps and even that comes with a surly comment. Go to east orange post office or the west orange newsagent (post outlet) at greengate both of whom offer good service and good customer support.

A courier with Orange PO delivered my Signature on Delivery parcel to the wrong address. The courier signed on my behalf so the parcel tracking changed to 'Delivered' but, not at my house! Australia Post said it was Lost in Transit and to ask the retailer for a replacement. Both myself and the retailer disputed this as the contract failed with the courier. I am however very thankful an honest person brought my missing parcel to me. It is worth $300+. Couriers should not be signing on delivery as they are not the recipient nor leave parcels at the wrong address. This was reckless unprofessional behaviour! There was absolutely no accountability shown here and no reassurance given that a repeat episode won't occur. Ecommerce will be unsustainable if this continues.

Excellent experience. In the pre-Christmas rush, I was served in under 2 minutes by a worker with a smiling face who was very helpful. Thanks everyone!

The staff member Jess was so rude to me on arrival, she actually rolled her eyes when I asked her a question. She dropped my package and didn't say anything or apologise. Missing basic human decency and should not be working in customer service.

I don't see what everyone's problem is. I drop all my parcels, cheques, and mail at the counter, correctly labelled and addressed and I've never had a problem.
