Me or the Cake

We were after a cake for our son's 1st birthday and knew only that we wanted something to do with a rubber duck. Naomi came up with some wonderful ideas and then turned them into the most amazing, 3D rubber duck cake with a big smiling beak and a bowtie, sitting in bubbly fondant bath water - it was a real work of art and a real shame to cut into it (but delicious when we did). We were so happy with it and will look back very fondly on it. Thanks so much Naomi!

Naomi’s cakes look amazing and are simply delicious. I have tried many different varieties and they all live up to her extremely high standard.She has an excellent sense of design, decoration and innovation. One cake in particular that she made for my husband’s birthday epitomised these qualities. It was in the form of a whisky barrel which had a small tap that dispensed single malt whisky. Great tasting cake with the added bonus of a delicious drop!

Naomi was responsive and easy to communicate with. She patiently worked with me to figure out exactly what I wanted. She was very flexible when it came to pick-up, and gave clear instructions on how to transport (1.5hr, in the car!), store and serve.The cake was exactly what I had envisioned. A koala, moon and sunset pink funfetti cake is a bit of a tall order! However, every little detail was perfect. When it came to the eating, the cake was delicious, people were asking for thirds and left overs to take home. I cannot recommend Naomi and “Me or the Cake” more highly. I personally, have saved her number, for future celebrations.

I ordered a two tier cake for my mom's 80th birthday from Naomi. She was very prompt with replying through emails. Her quote was very competitive too. It was almost like a project for me to put this cake together as I needed a figurine of my mom's (In her younger days) to be made and placed on the cake as well as having a perfect mouthwatering cake .Naomi absolutely smashed it. She made the cake as per my very specific instructions. The cake was so flavorful , made of Italian meringue buttercream, orange and lemon base with orange and lemon curd filing. Omg!!! it tasted beyond divine. The buttercream so light and not overly sweet, so beautiful. The curd filing was beautiful. Colours of decoration and flowers on the cake was made exact to my instructions. They looked gorgeous. The figurine was made by another cake maker, and both, Naomi and Sarah have collaborated to put this cake together.Mom was very pleased with the cake and everyone took pictures of the cake for good half an hour. It was cleaned quite quickly.Thank you Naomi, for making my mom's day a memorable one.Anyone looking to have an event, don't hesitate to contact Naomi, as I will be coming back for more.

Wow! Absolutely delicious cake. Everyone raved about it. Who would have thought lemon and blueberry would be such a hit with young and old alike. Needless to say the cake looked amazing as well.
