Hayes Family Wines

We had a lovely experience at Hayes Family Wines. We tasted 9 wines, all high quality and some were absolutely incredible. We left with some great recommendations for the area and Niki called a few contacts in the area to get us booked in for a few local cellar door tastings. Absolutely wonderful experience.

Had a great time visiting the cellar door. Nikki was a great host (as were the fury friends who greeted us when we entered), and the wines provided during the tasting were fantastic. A must visit for the Barossa valley and will be coming again soon.

What a fantastic winery and tasting experience. Hayes Family Wines has a vast and beautiful selection of wines, with a big focus on Grenache and Shiraz. We had a magnificent time tasting with Niki and owner Brett who were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. The tasting room is a beautiful space to spend a couple of hours drinking superb wine, with gorgeous views of the vineyards. For a boutique and local experience, this is a must do on your trip to the Barossa!

The wine tasting was alot of fun. We called in on short notice, and Niki was incredibly accommodating. She even gave us recomendations of where else to visit in the region. We had a great time!

Niki was amicable, friendly and made us feel right at home. Right from us calling in to see what pricing and availabilities would be like from Hayes, Niki’s welcoming personality radiated through the phone.For only $10, Niki provided us with a world-class tasting experience. She took the time to know us, and our palates, and made sure to adapt the wine experience to be palatable for us. Moreover, she took the time to learn more about us, and our own stories - whilst also providing an insight into who she was as a person.The whole time it was private, and we truly felt welcomed into the small business of Hayes family wines.The wine cellar was beautiful, and the vineyard picturesque. I can’t recommend this place enough.

This little gem was our first stop on a day set for winery visits and it set a high standard from the beginning. From the warm welcome, quaint tasting room and view over the vineyard it could not be more perfect until we started tasting. Niki was a fabulous host; she made us laugh, had exceptional knowledge and introduced us to some different varietals to truly experience what the Barossa has to offer. We received our purchases within the week and are enjoying being transported to this day via the beautiful wines.

My friends and I visited the Barossa early May and ended our wine tour at Hayes Family Wines. Niki is the Cellar Door Manager (and total wine expert) and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived at this intimate cellar door. Niki’s fun and vibrant energy made the whole experience truly memorable. She really knows her wines and went to great lengths to educate us about the region and the philosophy of Hayes Family Wines.
