No wonder why Australian economy is doing so poorly!CFD needs to be made illegal. It's not legislated on purpose as the brokers are screwing people and ASIC doesn't make it legislated or illegal so no one can chase their money or sue the corrupt brokers who are freely stealing everyone's money in plain sight!F

Pretty useless that I don't have a word to describe. I called and was on the wait for an hour. Spoke to a staff who did not know what she was doing. All I wanted to ask was where I can find the info on new changes of a finance policy. The staff had no idea what I was talking about and she did not even know some basic financial words that I mentioned. Please employ people who show some professional knowledge. I was very very frustrated and annoyed.

Corrupt. They'll charge $240 for an annual review of your business with no activity for 3 years. What they achieve with that review who knows but wouldn't you think some common sense prevail and someone think, gee maybe this person isn't using this business anymore?.?Then the only way the accept a cancellation of your business name is with more money. $42 and you have to fill out a paper form and mail that money in the form of a check or money order.

INCREDIBLE DISSERVICE.I am trying to contact ASIC to get my annual company statement which they should send after the annual company review is paid. They never sent it. I need to apply for a government grant which requires the statement. They don’t answer the phones it’s only going to a voice machine. I went to the ASIC office in Melbourne and they don’t accept over the counter services. The chat box is temporary disabled. WHY ARE WE PAYING $276 a year and no service whatsoever is provided?ASIC is another revenue scam in my opinion

We all know that dealing with bureaucracy is painful, right? It's almost to be expected. So when I say that I've never had a worse experience with a government department, I don't say it lightly. Trying to deal with business matters through ASIC has been one of the most difficult experiences of my professional career and it's caused me to seriously doubt their effectiveness as an organisation (not to mention their professionalism). The website is terrible. It was clearly designed in the 1990s, and gives answers to only the most superficial of issues. But if you need help, you can't call them directly - all you get is a pre-recorded message telling you to send a form on the website. They say this is due to COVID, but it's certainly not a problem I've encountered with any other government department. The contact form on the website gives you limited options as to the nature of your enquiry, and the facility to attach documents is faulty (PDFs are often rejected by the system, even if they're documents sent to you by ASIC themselves).Enquiries take 5 business days to be responded to, and often the response is an obvious cut-and-paste that doesn't actually address the question you asked. There's no facility to write back, you have to submit another contact form on the website. This means you can't clear up misunderstandings or ask for more information - you simply go back to square one.Despite the fact that we live in the 21st century, many of their application forms need to be physically printed and mailed to them (you can't just fill out a form on the website.) And woe betide you if you send them ANY correspondence except a registered letter - if you can't track it, they'll simply say they can't confirm they ever received it.Basically, dealing with ASIC is about an enjoyable as going to the dentist to get your teeth pulled. The fact that dealing with them is unavoidable is, I suspect, they only reason the organisation is able to treat its customers so poorly. If ASIC is giving you the run around, I'd encourage you to not take this lying down. Seek legal advice, complain to the ombusdman, or approach your local MP if you're not getting satisfactory treatment. It's outrageous that a department we fund with our taxes feels comfortable treating Australian citizens so abysmally.

Worse customer service. In short no customer service at all. Trying to speak to them for last 2 months and can't get connected even after hours of wait.Seriously need a change. I can't change my address nor can register online. Worse system setup by them and they charge penalties for any reason.

I do not understand how this company stays in operation. Appalling amounts of time on hold over the phone 1.5 hours one day then another 59mins later that week, answers needed not on the website. Back and forth, this could be a much easier website and company. If I treated my customers like this I'd be broke
