We were looking for an annex to complete our van for our extended travels around, I had googled and googled and come across Xtend Outdoors annexes made by Australian Made Annex. Best part of this annex for us was that there is a local fitter nearby in Malanda on the Atherton Tablelands (we’re in Cairns) as all the others I found we needed to travel to Brisbane or Melbourne.We received very prompt service from the Nambour base sales agent who put us in touch with Dave at Malanda. What great service we did receive from Dave, measuring ordering and fit out went so smoothly, it was a pleasure to have such awesome customer service.As my husband said he could’ve spent another 3 or 4 hours listening to Dave’s knowledge and experiences, as it was we were at his home where his workshop and retail outlet is for the best part of a day. Dave made sure we are set for our trip, helped us with some suggestions and is only a phone call away for any assistance. Treated us like we had been friends for years. We have just had our Awning on our Caravan fall apart. We are staying at Malanda Falls Caravan Malanda in FNQ & came across this card in the laundry rang Dave, he come that day measured up Tuesday & fitted it today Friday in the Christmas brake. Wow what an exceptional job he has done. He also had supply & fit spreader bars in the middle. He will be back on Monday to service the hot water service & put in a new Anode in it.I could not recommend David & Ken enough, they really know what they are doing.Thank you for your prompt service & friendliness. Had an issue with my toilet flusher in the caravan David was really helpful, rang up someone down south and had the part delivered to him, rang me up and I picked it up in just over 24hrs. Great bloke to deal with, was a pleasure doing business with him. Peter, Townsville.

Wow!!!...what can I say that will give Dave the recommendation he deserves?? Am heading off by myself with my new furbaby..into thegreat adventurous unknown. Dave suggested a few options for me for an awning that was suitable for me to handle on my own. I got the bag awning, not fitted, that I can use one side for protection from rain for an open window.when it rains, and can use on the door side of my van for fine weather use. He added all the bells and whistles to other little jobs that never got completed after I purchased my Toyota Hiace camper back in September. He just made sure I got maximum benefit from everything I had, and it was all safe and suitable for me to use. Even offered me phone service if I need advice on the road. Recommended a detailer for me in Atherton. Great price, product and service. If there's any other girls travelling alone and you need anything done, don't hesitate in calling him. He has pretty much anything you need. If anything happens in SA...will come back to Dave or follow any of his recommendations.Deb Nisbet

Dave will give you the same friendly, knowledgeable help & advice we received. Guaranteed, he's a great guy. We called in just to collect a custom order he did for us. On arrival that quickly changed. Dave had a great range of parts (well displayed) that I had been unable to find in numerous RV parts stores. When I asked for one of Dave's custom, permanent clothes lines, he made it on the spot & even fitted it to our awning. Dave was also happy to share tips & ideas on our caravan as well. Couldn't be happier.

David was great, not only fixed our water leak but explained and showed us what had been done and how we could troubleshoot in the future. He also noticed our water tank was coming loose and tighten it plus added more screws. Great range of spare parts. Cannot recommend him highly enough

We are new to caravanning and were staying in Malanda recently when we discovered a major leak from the hot water system. We called David and he came to fix the leak very promptly for us.David also installed a clothes line on our awning and a storage pipe on the back of our van on the same day, which we are very happy with.David was extremely professional, friendly and well priced with his services and when it comes to knowledge regarding caravans he is very experienced in this field. Dave is a man knows everything about caravan!!as new caravanner, we have no idea what we need and what we want!! but Dave showed us his knowledge of caravan, ideas and tips. just like a friend gave us right advice and told us his experience of traveling around Australia.he got a lots of caravan accessories pretty much everything you need in store, don`t need to order or go to cairns to get them. we got everything we need straight away in store. he fitted for us and showed us how to used them and how to look after the stuff. also so patience , answer every single questions we had, really appreciated all he helped us .we are very happy with BBQ porch and anti-flap kit. you made our home look awesome! thank you so much David.we are highly recommend this shop!!

After 5 years our awning had shrunk and started pulling away from the top rail that is attached to the caravan.After getting no where with obtaining quotes for a replacement skin from a well know company or wanting to buy a cheap one, hubby Goggled Caravan Repairs near me and was thrilled to find Dave's business pop up in Malanda.After ringing Dave and agreeing to a date for him to come to our place, he and Ken came out in the morning and returned that afternoon to fit the new much better quality skin, install banana rafters and anti flappers.Along with the advice we receive and extra caravan tips we could not have been more impressed or happy with Dave and Ken.If you are looking for anything caravan related or needing any canvas products contact them, you won't be dissapointed.
