Absolutely unprofessional, zero skill when it comes to hair styling, straightening with rollers and customer service. The hair iron used to straighten my daughters curly hair wasnt working and so was basically brushing it straight. It was my daughters yr 12 formal and she and partner wasnt able to take photos photos with friends and family and her hair was an plain upstyle which she had to go with as we left the african shop with her hair in an absolute mess mess mess, to be nice a lions mane on a bad hair day. My daughter was in tears a girl who I never see cry and then the owner older lady says when we complained after 4hrs of torture and guess work just leave my shop. She absolutely didnt know what she was doing. The other assistant she had working for her was great with hair but they had over booked doing braids on 2 other ladies which takes most of the day. very angry. selfish greedy lady. upfront honesty would of been highly appreciated, along with skill and time to do it . Oh and of course working high quality equipment would have helped too. My daughter has had her hair straightenend in brisbane on many occasions by pro African lady, straight as a pin was the result.

Was so happy with my box braids today! Was in a very tight time frame and 3 ladies made it work. As well as it being a late booking, thank you for taking me!

Don't waste your time.I arrive for my appointment this afternoon to get my hair braided in one long corn row with extensions. The lady on said I didn't have an appointment even though the email i was sent confirming the address meant I clearly did have an appointment at the African hair shop. It seems as if she just didn't want to do my hair. She mumbled someone else's name had an appointment, I couldn't really understand her then went on to say she can't do cornrows! Needless to say I'm spending my $$$ elsewhere!!

Visited recently and had a terrible experience! Rude and unprofessional staff! Definitely taking my business elsewhere!

I have held back on doing a bad review as I knew the lady who initially started this business and being a small business, deserves a chance to prove themselves. However, the current owner has no skill in dealing with clients and has no idea how to run a business. When she makes the mistake of overcharging for items sold, she proceeds to blame the client for her own incompetence and then goes one step further by ridiculing her client who points out her mistake while they're within earshot. On another occasion, she cancelled her client's appointment an hour before they were due to come in. It was late in the afternoon and the client was due to fly out the next morning. There was no remorse or a proper apology from her, just a backhanded comment suggesting the client should have booked an earlier appointment even though the appointment was made 2 weeks in advance and the owner was made aware of the importance of the circumstances. I have absolutely no idea how this business is still running with an owner like that. Please for the sake of your sanity and your side pocket, don't bother with this business, there are better ones in Cairns.

6 hours for half of my head in an uncomfortable chair, my back was in shambles, my box braids also came out uneven

Absolute amazing and friendly service, overall with professional and good value braids. Had my hair done up for graduation and lasted for a whole two months still looking new. amazing. Defininetely recommend Nathaline for her quick and friendly service .

I got my hair braided here by Jane, she was absolutely amazing. She actually stayed back after closing to finish and im beyond thrilled with the results. Very professional and affordable. Will definitely recommend.

I did my hair extensions at Kebe's hair salon. The owner there very nice person very polite friendly, fast very quick, and very good customer service. I'm so happy with my hair and will use the service again.
