Never in my life did I expect to see a live performance of that infamous Seinfeld episode. But on our “first” (and last) visit to Happyland tonight, there was an Emmy winning performance on display. A few highlights:1) “It’ll be 5…..10 minutes”: we heard a ”line” similar to this multiple times as our order was well over 30 minutes late. Honestly, we don’t think the poor girl had a clue what was going on.2) “Now I know we were ahead of that guy? Oh no, Mr Cohen ALWAYS here!”: we felt this way as numerous guests were welcomed on a first name basis by the owner and clearly got their orders before we did, including one who we found out at the 25 minute late mark had been given our order by mistake. We unfortunately don’t live on Park Avenue, or Ku-ring-gai Avenue for that matter, but clearly it’s important to be on first name terms with the owner. Best one was where the owner offered to take a guest’s money next time as she forgot her purse. He was happy to take our money though.Perhaps I should place my order under “Cartwright” next time? Sadly there won’t be a next time.But, honestly, thanks for the laughs. 2 stars for the comedy value.

Nice little Chinese restaurant in the north. It seems to be a family run restaurant, and although there aren’t many staff members, they’re reasonably efficient.They have parking nearby and the restaurant is easy to find. The restaurant space doesn’t fit many people but it gives it a nice homely sort of feel. Although they were busy making take away orders, the food came quite quickly. I wouldn’t say it were the most authentic Chinese food, but it was still nice. We got the honey prawns, lemon chicken, Mongolian lamb and seafood noodles. Overall, was a decent meal and presentation was quite nice too.

I came here with my friends and it was definitely a great experience, our server was kind and helpful and the food was so fresh and tasty we got seconds, the dessert is so good i recommend the fried ice cream, over all it is definitely a 5 star restaurant. ❤️

Been coming here for 11 years so I must enjoy the food. Not the best Chinese food i have ever tasted but pretty good for a suburban restaurant. Have ate there at the restaurant and the service is quick the guy who runs it is a very friendly and helpful. plenty of choice lots of dishes to choose from.

As a self proclaimed Chinese food expert, I have to say that this place is fantastic. If you happen to be dining in you will enjoy the pleasant authenticity of the place.I highly recommend dining in, this will allow you to soak up an embrace the full cultural Chinese experience. Service is normally first class, of course I have expressed my displeasure a few times, to which Happy the owner resolved swiftly.My favorite dish is the sweet and sour pork, this dish oozes flavor and flourishes from the chefs home province of Hunan. I strongly believe that this place sits within the top 30 Chinese restaurants within Sydney and comfortably top 3 on the upper north shore.
