Civic Skate Park

Cooyong st skato is once of the best skateparks. Just heading down there on a Sunday arvo with the boys is the best. Made some really good memories here, met some really cool people. Just overall a really good local skatepark.

Good skatepark. Can be a lot of rubbish around that you probably should brush off to the side if you want to ride some ramps. Not as many obstacles and belconnen but still a good variety.

A little dusty because of all the construction in the area, needs a bit of a sweep. So so so quiet, we were the only people there for ages. Love that they have lights at night. The runs themselves are all pretty good.

It was good. But very tight. Also you can not run up anywhere. But over all OK!!!

Cute little Skate park in the heart of Canberra. A bit dirty with broken glasses and Mac Donalds waste everywhere but perhaps I was unlucky that day.

Nice skatepark in the middle of the town

Nice place, chilled area with shade and ramps, after midday it’s all in shade, not very busy, good for skateboarding

It's a nice little park and the ramps are perfect to skate. It's just the people around the outside of the skatepark are very dodgy.

Great little skatepark in the heart of the city (the only one) tight, but great for beginners. There is also a basketball ring and legal graffiti walls. I'm not sure who is responsible for the cleanliness and general upkeep of the place, but this is a real issue. The park is constantly littered with broken glass, discarded syringes, takeaway boxes, sushi fish bottles that likely contained GHB, spray paint cans and various other items. It would help a little if there were bins and sharps containers nearby but the absence of both means the site is an unsightly mess and reflects extremely poorly upon whoever is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of this skatepark. Families and people of all ages should be able to freely utilise this facility without fear and without danger of injury from dangerous sharps and other litter. It is a sad state of affairs how neglected this place is.

Went to the skatepark to shoot a few hoops with my son. Moved to the area from Gungahlin a few months ago and found public outdoor sporting facilities are lacking. The basketball ring at the skatepark is the only one for miles around. It is conveniently located but only an awkward half-court layout with a slightly bent ring, no net, etc. Not complaining, but it would be nice to have proper courts (like in Gungahlin) somewhere nearby.
