The Cornish Kitchen

I've travelled Australia for 2 years now and this is one of the best bakery's I've been to, not the best but one of. They're extremely well priced and their sausage rolls are to die for. They'd get a sixth star if they used puff pastry with a few sesame seeds on top.

Best cornish pasties ever. Well worth visiting.

The food was quite good, but the coffee was very average and the customer service left a lot to be desired. It's changed hands since I last visited a few years ago... Growing up it was always a favourite to visit when passing through or visiting the Copper Coast, but would probably give it a miss in future for some of the other great cafes in town.

This used to be a great place, but now...My pasty was tasteless, filled with finely diced frozen vegetables and perhaps three tiny pieces of minced meat about the size of my little finger nail.A pasty is supposed to be filled with chunky vegetables and meat - but apparently not here.We won't be back.

Lovely Cornish pasties, fresh and full of filling. Pies and sausage rolls enjoyed too. Would have preferred to have made my own cup of tea (pot of tea unavailable in busy time) so staff made and far too milky for my taste. Also, would rather add own sauces to pies.Questionable customer service at the table. However, ordering was efficient and friendly.

We all went up to Moonta on Sunday for the ending of their Cornish Festival....we eaten Cornish pasties far and wide, but these new owners I must take my hat off...and tell them from six of us including one from Cornwell that he deserve a 10/10 and that being very modest...well done.

Moonta is one of the main Copper Triangle towns, so whether you visit here for the Cornish history, are touring, or just passing through, do yourself a favour and try a Cornish Pasty! I'm sure the rest of the pastries and other offerings at The Cornish Kitchen are great, but I will never find out - these are seriously the BEST Cornish Pasties that you will find anywhere (I'm reliably informed they're better that those on Cornwall)The pastry is flakey and not too thick. No great big ends or top join of dry pastry to work your way through. The filling had so many great old fashioned veggies to add to the taste. And these pastors are FULL, the baker must have years of practice to get so much filling in without tearing the pastry case.Were I to rate this Cornish Pasty it would need to get a a 11 out of 10 - perfect plus one for the friendly staff.I would have added a photo, but it disappeared too quickly.

I have been there . I really loved the food great potatoe pie and cornish pasty. I recommend to the other people.

Great Cornish pasties, sooo big and great value. Cherry slice was yummy but very small

Coffee was good and thankfully in a proper cup. Pasty contents tasted slightly uncooked. Unfortunately was served in cardboard container with wooden cutlery. Disappointed.
