Well went there for the first and last time. Girl behind counter was very pleasant, but the person who says nothing was interesting to watch. Asked for South Melbourne dim sims and when they were brought out in a plastic container, they were slimy and unappealing. Watched him trying to batter the thin piece of fish, 3 times with a spoon, put on a plastic glove and he had no idea, as the batter was so thin and didn't coat the piece in certain areas. Batter is cheap! Chips, pale and hard. Everything was just wrong, and the whole experience made me feel sick. I could not eat the food as I didn't trust the freshness after seeing what goes on. Okay in the front, in the back, rather unclean. I won't be going back, you just can't put Asians in these places and expect the food to be like it should. Very dear for a bad product. If the young lady hadn't of been there, he could not handle this shop at all. Never returning.

Came here for a quick feed for myself and the mrs. This place does well needs to organise itself. 1 guy running the show and rest of the staff had no idea. The food was fresh and tasty. Pricing a tad bit high for me. Unclear english with service. Clean shop.

Grilled fish wasn't really grilled as still had a batter on it which fell of the fish as soon as i picked up it.Batter fish (snapper) wasn't crispy and a bit blonde on colour.Chips were ok, at least cooked to order and freshScallop was tinyPotato cake was averageMaybe im used to UK fish n chips but this experience wasn't the best. Will try else where

We enjoyed the flathead batter a little bit heavy but enjoyable...

Potato Cakes were small, thin & a bit greasey. Hamburger was alright. $$ Prices are dearer than advertised online..

Best fish n chips I've had. Fish is cooked to order. No soft and rancid tasting fish or fries. The premise is super clean as well. Will come back again and again

The best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Everything was perfect – succulent fish bites, delicate scallops, generous minimum chips, delicious battered sav, tasty Sth Melb Dim Sim – even the pickled onion provided a lovely contrast. The seasoning was well balanced – not too salty, but not bland – and everything was piping hot. Lovely staff too!I'll definitely be back!

Very good fish & chips. We usually have our fish grilled, and the Blue Grenadier was done beautifully. The large box of chips was definitely enough for a family of 5.

If you're looking for great fish and chips, look no further!The fish is delicious and cooked perfectly. It even came with a beautiful little side salad, which was a wonderful surprise. The chips are flawless: nice and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, salted just the right amount. The service is polite, friendly, and helpful. Would highly recommend and definitely would like to come back again next time we are in the area!
