This is the perfect place to take your mistresses. Dead set! No one will recognise you if you're from the western suburbs. So peaceful, family friendly, like another dimension. Not even the private investigator would expect you to go here. Said PI would probably just take off their shoes and have a paddle such is the pacifying effect of this littoral paradise.

Was glad I took the steps down from the road to check this spot out. Such a peaceful spot to spend a bit of time relaxing. Toilet facilities were open and clean.

Nice place for quick dip to cool off on hot summer day. I was there at the low tide point and yet the water depth at the netted end was still over two metre deep. Easy access from road or pathway. Not really suitable for wheelchairs. Good for children and families. No cafe. The 5pm closure time for summer seems to be a bit of a myth as it was still open at 6:30pm on the day I attended.

OK place to swim on a hot day.Bottom of the river is not so nice here - has stones, silt and plants/branches near the bank. Water can be a bit dirty, but OK. The beach here isHas change rooms with cold showers and restrooms. Another cold shower is outside. The beach is only 2-5 metres wide but I've never seen it too crowded. Trees provide a bit of shade even in the afternoon.

I've lived in Ryde for over 40 years and never knew of this little gem. It is fun to watch the yachts sail past on weekends, and even better to have a refreshing swim on a hot day for free! There are toilets, changing rooms and cold showers on site. Access is down some flights of steps, so may be difficult for prams or wheelchairs or the elderly.

Not too many people. Felt very clean. Nice wooden platforms to rest on. High tide was ideal even tho no beach.
