Allura homes was very keen and enthusiastic before signing us up for the home build. We had no hesitation signing up with them at the time. Everything changed after we signed up by paying almost $7000 as an initial design fee.After several weeks from signup, and many reminders, we were shown a rough plan as to what they were thinking of building on our land. This preliminary sketch did not match our land or the surroundings. After the first meeting to discuss this initial plan, a couple of months passed without any updates. All attempts contact Andrew and colleagues via email, texts and calls/voice messages were ignored.Several weeks after multiple failed attempts, we decided to cut our losses and go with a different builder as we expected similar behaviour from Allura homes going forward. Apart from taking our money with no services provided, Andrew refused to even give us the survey done on our land which we paid for. We consider this to be an expensive lesson on Allura Homes.I am not surprised if Allura customers have to endure expensive delays with their builds.

After taking our money, Allura Homes missed deadlines and hiked the price for our build by 23% (excluding legitimate increases for changes or additional items). The Director & General Manager, Andrew, did not turn up to a pre-booked meeting without even sending a message to notify us that he was not attending. When we tried to contact him, he did not answer or return phone calls.When we lodged a complaint with the Managing Director, Sam, he responded only to say that he felt that there was no utility in addressing the issues raised and he did not even give us the courtesy of a phone call.We lost months of time and lots of money mistakenly trusting Allura Homes with our building project, which we deeply regret. We have since found another builder which has shown us that the process of building a home can be an enjoyable experience and not the painful one that Allura Homes made it.I hope that other people don’t have to go through the experience that we did. Please avoid Allura Homes, there are plenty of competent and trustworthy builders out there, but Allura Homes are not one of them.

I am writing this review to give great complements to Allura Homes and the entire Allura team. We have had Allura homes design and build our beautiful new home. We will say it’s a very daunting decision to knock down and rebuild, but we met with Andrew and he was great, very upfront about the costs of building our new home, and explained the process and put a very well documented budget together for us. This design and build budget really helped to explain where costs are for the whole project, not just the house. Daniel was our design architect and he and Andrew were great, updating the design and they also came up with some designs that we just loved. The Tender process was great and Andrew and his estimating team really documented all pricing and costs with the new build. We were lucky enough to go CDC which made a site start even faster. The selections with Ziggi and Jessica were great they are very skilled interior designers, so helpful we could save money in some areas so we could spend in other areas of the home. Finally our build came together really well, sure you have a few delays with rain, but our site manager Ian updated us every week with what was happening and delivered us a beautiful home. As a wrap to Allura Homes, if anyone is thinking about building in Sydney and doing a knock down rebuild, then we can highly recommend Allura Homes.

Absolutely impressed and satisfied with my experience with Allurra Homes. Not only was I happy with the outcome of the end product, but also with their excellent customer service. They tended to my every need whether it was about a custom build and also quickly answering any questions I had about the process. We engaged Allura homes to design and build our dream home, after an initial meeting with Andrew that was very slick we had a series of disappointments.Our first issue arose when the timeline (set by Allura) for our first set of plans was missed with zero communication or contact. Two weeks later I was chasing Andrew with little or no response. When we finally received our plans they did not reflect our brief whatsover. After another briefing session and another 3 weeks wait we finally got some plans that did reflect our brief.The next disappointment was when we received our tender and it was 23% over the original quote (removing increases for additional scope / upgrades). Line items such as $73k for price increases". We organised a meeting to discuss this with Allura and Andrew accepted the invite and then failed to turn up

Could not speak of Allura Homes more highly - had a great experience with the team! They were very professional and got everything done in a timely manner. Great communication and highly responsive. We were extremely satisfied with the outcome and will definitely continue to use them in the future.
