Franklin Manor

We loved every minute of our 2 night stay at Franklin Manor. From the minute we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful. The manor was exactly as we hoped, with its old world charm, where not everything was perfect but beautifully presented. The continental breakfast was delicious. But our favorite thing was the guest lounge with a roaring fireplace. Would definitely recommend Franklin Manor

Great atmosphere and the care takers were very friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful and the bed was amazingly comfy. Breakfast was included in the price and it was excellent…. Only complaint was they didn’t do a hot breakfast for this winter weather … but we’ll be going back there again next time we’re here.

Amazing stylish old building with beautiful garden and veranda. Cellar with a big range of wines is available for guests. Big room with very comfortable bed is cozy and clean. Delicious breakfast. We were very impressed with this accommodation. One thing we probably would like to recommend. Breakfast service was really slow. It takes nearly hour to get food. Other than that was fantastic

We stayed at Franklin Manor for one night. It was a shame it was such a short visit. Lincoln checked us in and could not be faulted. He was more than happy to go above and beyond for any requests. The room is a good combination of modern and vintage. it is well appointed and the continental breakfast was perfectly adequate to start your day.If I make it back to Strahan, I will definitely stay here again.

The moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly and accomodating staff. Lincoln and crew had provided all the services you could ask for. The Manor had a story to tell and it embraced you with warmth and creature comforts whilst you sit back and admired the spectacular views. From the tiniest of details this place will not disappoint you. Lincoln expressed this is our home and sit back and enjoy. Had to be the most relaxed weekend ever. Cozy, relaxing, buetiful house and gardens, fantastic breakfast my hat off to our host Lincoln for making our stay memorable and enjoyable.

In a lovely location, staff were very helpful and continental breakfast very nice. However my room was not, fridge not working shower ran all night curtains hanging down and wooden surround around wash basin was black. In desperate need of money spending on it. Not 4 star!

Lovely house in nice setting. Helpful check in staff. Room was small but comfortable. Noisy bar fridge which we had to turn off to sleep. Breakfast was disappointing with poor service. Had to wait to be served and no one around to ask for toast etc.

Old world charm. Delightful staff. Cosy, warm and comfortable room. Thankyou Chantel you made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed at breakfast time. We met some lovely people on our 2 night stay. Highly recommend Franklin Manor. A short beautiful walk into town, everything just getting back on it’s feet after Covid. Lots of eating places closed down which is sad to see. You will need to book before you arrive in Strahan. Difficult to find staff, you are all doing a wonderful job. Keep up the good work.

This was our second stay at Franklin Manor although the first was many years ago. It is a beautiful stately home converted into a boutique style hotel. There are two public sitting rooms to relax in. Our hosts, although on temporary placement were very welcoming and keen to share the story about the manor. Our room was on the small side, the bed was comfy and the bathroom could do with a refurb. Some of the interior decor in the public spaces doesn’t match the era of the house which is a bit of a shame.The inclusion of a hot breakfast would be a welcome plus a self service continental breakfast so you can choose what you want rather than being served one platter per couple. The morning coffee was very good.The house is a short and scenic walk to the harbour and is worth doing to avoid parking costs if going on a Gordon River cruise or the West Coast Wilderness Train ride.
