Nice to see there's been a change of management or employees. Years ago this place had staff that were so rude and never made us feel welcome. Due to this, we avoided coming to this place.However a few weeks ago, we happened to be in the area so we decided to give this place another go as we craving sweets. We were greeted warmly by the staff and they were keen to assist us. They were also patient and helpful.We choose the Orange almond cake, Passionfruit tart and Red velvet cupcake. Sadly all three were underwhelming, Nothing tasted offensive, but none of them were spectacular or had that wow factor.They didn't taste like they were from a professional bakery, more like from a large factory that produces sweets in bulk. Such a shame because I wanted to give this place higher ratings thanks to the staff, but I had to be honest.The shop interior was clean. The cakes and pastries do look very beautiful and are eye catching. There were also a big selection of patisseries to choose from!

Cakes are nothing special and come out of a factory, staff are lovely now because previously they were horrible. The standard has dropped dramatically over the years to the point where the cakes are no better in reality then cakes from woolies, but 10 times the price. 2 stars is being kind.

Sophisticated and yummy cakes with good coffee and tasteful music that adds to a pleasant ambience. With tables intended for couples, it is more an intimate meeting place for cake-lovers than a boisterous family haven. Personally I love the place and pop in every time I am in Caringbah.

I seldom write critical reviews but this one is for the heart. Their customer service is way below standard when it comes to treating people of ethnic minority. I have been living in the shire for 15 years and am a doctor and have been to this shop 3 times.Every time I go there, the staff makes sure I am not welcome, it becomes a tasks to get details about various variety of cakes and pâtés series. I almost get a stare with them wondering what are you doing here ?? And how dare you request a service from us ? ... every single timeLast week I bought a very average looking $70 cake and staff serving me was almost squinting her eyes. I could not help questioning, is something wrong with your eyes? Rather surprised at this question, she replied, I am just tired.They may serve coffees and cakes but such is the case with hundreds of other cafes in the shire with exemplary mannerism. Customer service is a big part in cafe culture and building a loyal customer base is the key to a successful business and subsequent growth and it appears they need to learn a lot in this area.

There are so many delectable looking cakes here that it is always hard to make a decision. I have enjoyed everything I have had from here, including carrot cake which was full of carrots & walnuts and absolutely delicious. The banana cake was great also & these are both available by the slice with a cup of coffee or as a large celebration cake. Individual cheesecakes are a perfect indulgence with my favourites being the caramel, lemon & chocolate covered numbers. Then there is the salted caramel tart, absolutely delicious, so rich, naughty, decadent but oh so good! There are a range of savoury pies and pastries available also but it is the sweets that always draws me in and keeps me hooked.

got some mini cakes for my partners birthday and had heard so much about this place. the mini red velvet cake had a hair baked into it so had to throw that a away and for the amount we paid was very disappointing to see my hard earned money going into the bin. will never go here again based on my first experience

I went with my mom to have a coffee and cake. The cakes are decadent and so tasty. The coffee is smooth and creamy workout a bitter aftertaste. They do serve milk alternatives for coffee, but on the day we couldn't find one for the cakes. The service was timely and professional. Wheelchair accessible.

Picked up the Strawberry coconut mascarpone cake for my mother in laws bday. The mixture of fresh cream, coconut dacquiose sponge, fresh Strawberries and grapes was very balanced and the strawberry flavoured macaroons were a nice treat.The staff were polite, offerred a great recommendation and were super helpful with my order and came in clutch to fix up my order from another store just before closing time. I will be back to try the other great cakes on offer.
